Put a pipe wrench on the blower shaft and free it up. The impellars are probably rusted to the walls. My backup unit seized up from sitting for so long and I called Steamway in Denver, CO and thats what they told me to do. Worked gread and ran like normal, too!

I would add to that to remove the hose coming from the waste tank to the blower first. Then spray some break free type of product in it, an entire can. Allow it to soak in for about an hour or so, then try to use a pry bar to turn the pulley. They will rust up if the humidity goes into them from the waste tank.

Gary is right, I forgot the part about lubing it up first! That might actually be the difference in getting to free up or not!!!

I try to remember to spray WD40 into the blower at the end of each work day to help prevent 'lockup'. Do you guys do the same?

Good luck rebuilding the blower. You need to know what you are doing.
I would probably look for a good used one.

    What kind is it.

Odds are that shaft is bent. Cut your losses and find a new blower.

hi all, i am facing a similar situation with my prochem legend se. went to start it today, got about a quarter turn out of it and nothing, the pumps are running strong and it keeps tryin to turn so its not the battery, thhe only thing i can think is the blower is siezed. i dumped a can of pb blaster into the blower lube inlet and am waiting now. if i have to put a pipe wrench on the shaft... is that located in the gear box? i cant see any other way to get the shaft, i have not taken the cover off cuz i dont want to mess with it if i dont have to. is this where put the wrench on?
    thank you
