I have a ProChem Blazer Plus that I need advice on how to properly maintain the blower. Currently I spray wd-40 every day, but I'm confused on the adding oil part. How do you add oil to the blower? I can't find the sight glass anywhere, unlike an engine it does not have an acess port. And what type of bearing grease should I use? I do know how to add grease but what type is best? I searched already but not enough info, I do not know what type of blower I have.
Do you have the manuals? Here is the Prochem manual for the Blazer Plus (lubrication on page 38): http://www.prochem.com/Upload/KCProductCatalog/9af87494-961c-4629-89d7-be50be67c0a4_67-945579_BlazerPlus.pdf I believe your Blazer has a Sutorbilt 3-series blower, if so, here is the Sutorbilt manual which also has a section on lube: http://www.pollardwater.com/pdf/pdf_web_manuals/SutorbiltManualSizes2to5Inch_dmb.pdf
Nothing beats Aeon PD. It comes out cleaner than anything I have ever used. And if you know oil, when it comes out clean, that means its doing its job. Blower oil should be filled around 9 oz. The sight glass should be located on either side of the lower part of the gear end housing. The fill is located on top of the gear end housing.
Thank you very much guys, very useful information. And thank you for the the manuals, thats what I needed.
