I have a 2006 ford explorer, it is in almost mint condition but it has black plastic trim and it is starting to look cloudy. Is there any way to bring this trim back to new like condition?

If it is exterior there is a product that works great. You can get it from the auto detail supply store. The product is called auto shop, I will have to check. i now use it on the front and rear bumpers on my chevy van and GMC van. It can be used on all exterior rubber and plastic. Makes it look new.

Two of my favorites and the longest lasting are Solution finish and Ultima Tire and Trim Guard. Also they wont run like 95% of the other products out there.

For that cloudy plastic i use Mequiar's Supreme Shine Hi-gloss protectant.
Just did a Hummer and it has alot of that type of plastic on the exterior.

That Kind of extra shine / Don't know. it looks way to aggresive. A lot of the People like the Natural Finish type.
Meguiar's No. 40 Vinyl Protectant really leaves a Descent finish, not too slippery surface. not to shinny. but it gives a great Finsih, and leaves a nice New Leather fragance. wich a lot of clients really like also.

Before any Protection been apply. I give a pass of steam & Apcleaner prior to the Dressing. that way. It look's much better:cool:

I used to use Mothers Back to Black on my Jaguar when I had it. Did a nice job of bringing back window trim, door trim, anything black...

I don't detail cars. I've only used the peanut butter treatment on my own car and it works great. Joseph, try it and a bet you'll laugh at how good it works..

    Have a great day everyone.

if anyone here in the Auto detail / if you really really want that wet look finish, but on Paint. as the final part. or call it last step. instead of your spray detail wax. Try the spray, Pig-spit.

you can find it at your local Motorcycle shops / like Honda / H-Davidson. try it spray some on the M-Fiber towel or straight on the paint. inside a garage better. so the wind don't take your Product away.

I have done a couple of full details. using Pig-spit on the whole car. Wet look finish type!!!!
