Hi, I own a ACE 860 and today the temperature was only about 190 so i checked the waste tank and there is a water flow from the heat bypass to the waste tank. normaly it runs about 245 I was wondering how can i check the valve or the sender sensor Thank you.
First make sure your temp solenoid is not stuck open. If you havent descaled the machine in a while deposits can build up on the sensor probes and send bad siganls to the solenoid. I am assuming the temp switches are normally open. When the machine is cold you can test continuity between the terminals; if you have continuity, the switch is probably stuck closed which sends a signal to the solenoid to open and dump water. Hope that helps.
I disconected the wires going in to the dump valve and the flow stop i have 2 sensors one is 180 and the other a 240 plus a shutdown 285 the water goes up to 190 but i notice my diverted did not move like it use to it . i will check this sensor to see if one of them stays close
Since the flow stopped when you removed the wires tells me that the solenoid is ok. Since the water gets to 190 and then dumps shows that you might have a bad sensor or it is scaled up; as Ara said, I would try to descale it first, becuase if the switch was stuck in the closed position all the time, you probably wouldnt build 190 degrees since it would constantly dump from the time you started the machine. If the sensors are easy to get at the best thing to do is to remove them and clean them by hand. And definitely free up that diverter valve.
Thanks for your help everyone problem solved Bad Valve $140.00 Parker Fluid Control Div Part#71216SN2FU00N0L111C1 Now is muy Caliente ( Very Hot):hi::hi:
Wow, I am suprised that was it since it shut off when you unplugged the wires, but glad you got it fixed! Good job!
