Default Heat Exchanger :(

Ok so we have been without one of our heat exchangers for a while now, and today i FINALLY decided to crack that baby open to have it repaired.

The inlet and outlet both broke off, and untill now i was unsure what the exact damage was behind the cover.

heres the pics

Ouch Mike. That looks rough man. You can by those at some radiator shops for about 40 dollars. They are actually an auto application. Finding the right size is the tricky part. Might be able to weld. maybe Duane can chime in and help!

I would take it to a radiator place and get their opinion. They'll be able to tell you if it's worth repairing or not.

It looks like a heater core from a car or truck, but there's no telling which one. Possibly if you have the dimensions a place like the one that Rob listed could find a replacement for you. (Good luck at an auto parts place, though. If you don't know the "Year, Make and Model", they're totally lost.

One thing you know: If you get it from Prochem, it will cost more than it would anywhere else... but you'll get it quickly, and downtime has to be factored in...

I've never seen one that messed up Mike. Looks like someone put a chainsaw on that. Good Luck!
