trouble shoot heat loss with legend xl

Legend has recentley stopped getting as hot as it use to. doesn't top 190. What are some things I need look at or things I need to do? I am 21/2 hours from Jon Don. Would like to figure this out on my own if I could. Machine is only two years old.

    Thank you for any help

check to see if your heat echangers arent plugged up. I am not sure about your equipent but there should be an access panel to do just that. you might need a stailess wire brush to do it with

You are in IL. and I know its cold there right now.... May just be the incoming water is to cold to heat above a certain temp.

    Descale the machine

Clean your bypass screens and orifice

Are you leaking water out of the exhaust?

    Your pre-heater could be bad.

On the right side of the machine (mine was). They should be clearly marked. May be on the front now???

Thanks Guys, Goinng to descale also. Do I just put descaler in water box then hook up solution line to water inlet and solution outlet and run for a bit? Only have fifty foot hose, will this be ok? Heck this might not be how to even do it but this is why I ask. Thank you much. I need to learn to do these things.

Are you running soft water in the machine? This should cut down how often you need to descale.

Also, is your idle as high as it used to be when you pull out the throttle?

You can have someone who does small engines check it and see if its running at 2850

Ran it yesterday for 2.5 hours, no water coming out of exaust. average temp was 200. at the end it reached 230 took a long time for it to get there. The idle seems to be the same as it always has.. I don't have a winterizer/descaler line. Can I hook up a 50' line to circulate the water/descaler through the machine?

    Thanks guys

If no water coming from exhaust the both the HX and pre heaters are fine...

    Try this...

Hook your hose to a water heater instead of an outside water faucet. See what your heat is then. If its steady on 220 to 230 then its probably just because its cold outside and your incoming water temps are low.
