    Bridgepoint Lancer (Prochem Legend) Problem

Having a problem with my Lancer. The Heat Exchange knob is getting stuck in the "on" position. It's been happening for a month or so, but have always been able to turn it off- eventually. Until yesterday. After my last job, I could not turn the darn thing off! What could be causing this? I did spray some WD40 back in there, hopefully that will help some.

Buy a new knob and replace the old.

You could have a tremendous amout of carbon buildup inside the diverter valve causing it to stick. You can try spraying a can of brake cleaner to melt away the carbon. See if that works before you start tearing it apart. If carbon is your culprit you may be running too rich or your air pump is faulty and needs replacing. If your diverter has carbon then I suspect your catalytic does also.

I have to use a screw driver and push that ball thing behind the knob everytime I turn it off. It sticks and won't allow me to turn it freely

Try taking it apart and see if you can remove the rust and crud with sand paper. If not I'm sure you can get new linkage hopefully.
