    Powerclean Genesis 59

My 4 year old Genesis has a error message of the engine running to rich. I changed the plugs and the air filter on the truckmount to no avail. Anyone have ideas for me?

The O2 sensor is located on the exhaust after the manifold. You can check it with a multi-meter if you have one. O2's are expensive so its one of those things you want to make sure is faulty before replacing. Do you have a multi-meter with MIN MAX Recording Anthony?

    Ara,
No I do not have one. Any ideas on where I could get my hands on one to use to see if the O2 sesor is bad? this is where my incompetence in mechanical engineering comes in to play. I thought about getting my masters in that but then underwater basket weaving came in to play. Anyway, I am not that ridiculous when it comes to mechanical things. Can I buy it at Walmart or Ace Hardware or a Tractor Supply like company and once I have one is it easy to test and to get to?

hmmm..great question I don't know. What does the distributor look like? Sorry for sounding like a idiot but I don't know much about anything with these engines even though they can't be that difficult.

The reason why Im asking is because the distributor cap and rotor could be worn. All your spark plug wires go to a distributer cap. If you have DIS which is distributorless ignition then the spark plug wires go to coil packs.
Look for a plastic cap with spark plug wires connected to it.

Look under the cap and look for wear. A bad rotor will show signs of burning or pitting.

Is the Cap and rotor expensive to repair and can someone with some knowlege of mechanics do it or do I have to take it to a car mechanic?

Anthony. Take to someone. you are in way over your head. The Distributor would be a good place to start. Or you could call greenie he knows everything.
