    Re: chemical meter

If it has a check valve Y strainer like prochem, that could be your issue. Or maybe the check valves or seals seals in the pump if its a diaphram pump. Something I always say with Orings... " It could look good but still be bad." Same with those check valves in the pump. If the disc gets hung up in any way, it will facilitate eradic behavior.

You can also get the full on or off experience if the hose is sucking in even the smallest amount of air. The clear plastic hose that runs to your 5 gallon stock solution may have atiny crack. It may not be the cause, but it is a quick esy fix and worth checking before you start taking things apart.

    Re: chemical meter

So you can turn it off but when you open the chemical meter at all it meters at 10 or full cut your stock solution by a 2/3 so if its a pound and a half pre mix to five gal of water metered at 3-4 gal per hour mix 8 oz to 12 oz and meter it at 10 until you can get it fixed and you wont waste chemical. it could be your metering valve I've had that problem with my prochem machine.

    Re: chemical meter

You see the metal ball at the bottom and you turn
the knob and nothing happens, dont mean its off it means your mixtank is full of water.

Now if you turn the knob and the ball shoots way up it means your mixtank is not full and filling up..
Adjust your chem mix at that time to 2-3 or whatever.

The ball meter wont move when the mixtank is full..

  9. Thanks Kev Berry thanked for this post
