    Booster Vacuum w/ Mytee M-12

    I have a Mytee M-12.

First Question, what do you think is the longest practical hose run?

Second, If I add the Mytee booster, 2 or 3 stage what do you think is the longest practical hose run?

Also, over this longer hose run how much heat do you think I will lose - don't really have that much to begin with?

I don't have the money for a truck mount, but I can invest about a thousand in my current set-up.

Any help would be much appreciated!

75-100 , I run a booster with porty. Run 50 from the machine and boost the last 25 ft with a 3 stage booster. I gues you could run 125 but 75-100 will be the sweet spot.

I would think you could comfortably make a 125' run amd have the booster on the last 25 - 50' to the wand. Keep in mind the factor that you can always dry stroke a little more. That's considering you'll get the Mytee 7503 booster.

    I have a Mytee M5 and I can run 125' without a booster.

Since yor system maybe designed to work one way; What is the longest hose you operate on now?? A booster can add new life to a porty unit. Mytee's aren't my prefered brand ; but all the attention should be given to reliability in choosing setup configurations. I can run 150 easily without a booster; and well over 200 with one.

    I hope this was helpful.

I have an M 12. I have a booster from Steambrite mfg. it sits on top of the access hatch to the waste tank. It's a couple hundred $ and you will be very surprised at the CFM increase. It is a 3 stage vac and it pulls like a monster. I would also add the Mytee 3 stage in line. You can get very good drying time working slower on the dry strokes and taking more dry strokes if needed.

*** Really think about the Steambrite. I wrote a product review a year or two ago on their site and still stand behind it!

I don't understand why everyone is trying to make a truckmount out of a porty.

I fully understand (Ricky Font***) if you have a propane heater and pump in your van converting your porty to a tm. Otherwise buck up and use the porty as it was designed --to be within 50 feet of the wand.

I am going back to porty use after I sell my TM. 50' will not be enough for my liking.

I want to set the unit in the bathroom next to the toilette (I just won't do dsims house) so I can dump in the head and have autofill by the shower.

50 won't get to every room in the house.

'Bucking up' has nothing to with how I use it. I will need to do 75-100' with good dry times since I also plan on changing the flow rate.

You won't be getting good dry times at 75-100 feet out. Cut that flow rate in half and it helps a TON. I have cut them back from 8-10 flow down to 4 flow. The pump doesn't like the -8 flow either, and neither does the PumpTec team. 75 feet out set up the booster and it helps alot. I have a 3 stage mytee and it has got mad and likes to spit out of the vac motor all over the customers walls. It has done this a good handful of times.

I have 4 of these machines and I am really trying to figure out how people can say some of this stuff. I must be stupid otherwise. Yes we are hacks and don't bring airpaths into the places where we use them either.

What machines do you have Chadly? I promise you I'm not exaggerating when I say I've run 150' with my M5 with good dry time. I've only done it once though.

    Mytee Booster's discontinued?

I was looking for some mfg specs on the Mytee Boosters. The Mytee website is showing they are both discontinued (7502, 7503).

Does anyone know if Mytee has new boosters coming out or is the only option 3rd party?

    Flow rate

I have a Mytee m12 and love it. I have had no problems with it. I use 75' and get good results. I also love using the hard surface tools off it. I was thinking about a booster but why bother if it works right now. How do you change the flow rate from 8-10 to 4? i saw a post about. What are the advantages and dis advantages?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Scott;

I suggest doing some research regarding a "booster". There are only a couple that have years of field testing and are ----proven systems-----IMHO, if that is what you are looking for?

    The very best;

Thanks Ed, yes researching is what I'm doing.

I did find out that Mytee is coming out with new boosters shortly.

    From Mytee:

"We have a new design with some cool features non-existent in other boosters. It should be released soon. No price increase and those who had purchased the previous unit will be able to trade it in straight across for the new one"

I'll absolutely be considering your CA booster as well!

Thanks, but this takes me to 3 cords at the unit. I wanted to "spread out" somewhat about where I place the cords. There is no bigger pain in the butt then chasing down good outlets. Thanks, Ross

When a machine spits out of the exhaust, your wast tank is too small and your not using enough De-former, most times. LOL
I know the problem and I think to leave machine out side or run a hose x2 out side.
Then I would need the air hog and or another bootser by the wand. so I can run 200' x2" hose

I called Kleenrite they said $547 plus frieght. It has been designed to not have any problems that other Booster have. They said that they looked at all the other boosters on the market and a lot of engineering went into the Vac boost. It has a new 6.6'' ametek vac motor that is new to the market.

Re: Booster Vacuum w/ Mytee M-12

Thanks. I am actually about 2 hours from them. Do they sell to the public? Or dealers only? I guess I can give them a call?

    Hi Everyone,

The booster is Awsome let me tell you! The new vacuum technology inside the Vac Boost produces 158 CFM by itself. It has built in overflow protection, 2" vacuum ports, easy maneuverability, and low center of gravity for stability.
