New Mytee Air Hog - seems interesting, but I don't see it on their site yet. Would be curious to know the price, vac details and amps it draws....
Looks pretty cool though:

I read $899 new or Mytee will work something out with you if you bought one of the original boosters.
Looks pretty modular IMO, you can use it as a booster, portable, spotter, etc…

John I know you read this so for Gods sake man please hire a real videographer to parlay your products. My 7 yr old can do better job. We did this in our lil shop last week in 20 minutes...lol

Mytee does make some very cool stuff.. I wouldn't mind getting one for my portable... Looks like a great idea!

I want one, nice!

Probably gonna get one? Would like to know what kind of numbers they got with the M12 with the booster?

Yep, she definitely looks like an Air Hog (and a regular hog) to me.

I like to know too... That is a good question for sure!

Another forum. Quote from John himself:
"Here is Mytee's new Vacuum Booster. 144" H2O, 115 CFM. It also has a built-in 3.5gpm pump out. It is very versatile, having six configurations. The MSRP is $899.00.
For those of you who purchased the original in-line vac booster, if you would like, contact Mytee or your local distributor for a no cost exchange (except for freight, especially if your in Hawaii)
The new Cuff Lynx are $3.99 MSRP, and the sock filters are in a package of 25 for $6.29 MSRP. The sock filters (we call the Mytee Piglets) will also fit the Lint Hog or the hydraforce pool filter."

Now is the m-12 in series and the booster is parallel, Correct me if im wrong is that a holw in the system

The booster is in parallel with the M-12. If it were in series the water would have to come through the vacuum in the booster. I am not sure how the vac motors in the M-12 are set but I believe they are parallel also. At 150 feet the numbers will be pretty close to the same numbers you would have with just the booster alone at 20 feet. There is a lot of hose loss with vacuum.
This would be really easy to make into a CFX killer.

This new booster is a good machine from John @ Mytee.
I think it will work very well in parallel with a two 3-stage machine.
The actual lift should be ~148" right at the wand lead hose.
That should provide very good recovery w/~10" hg. at the wand.
The Pump-out and large filter are a nice bonuses.

Can somebody explain to me please how this is beneficial to cleaners? I mean where is the line of demarcation financially between too many things to use to make a porty decent. Wouldn't some one be better off buying a used truck mount instead of investing in all these odd items that are bulky and time consuming? And having an inline filter seems to negate any benefits to me. I stopped using inline filters years ago as they restrict vacuum and lower lift regardless of weather you use female panty hose or not. I am not knocking it just not getting it. I started with a portable but thought portys are stepping stones to truck mounts some day. Can someone elaborate because I know I can clean in half the time and look 100x's more professional in the consumers eyes leading to more money. JMHO so please explain.

Rob, don't sugar coat it man, how do you really feel?![]()

I'll talk about me.
I need a booster, My Mytee DX1000 220 psi has been upgraded to 2 - 3 stage lambs.
I want even more power so I can add up to 75 foot of hose. I need 75 foot of hose to go up and down stairs with out lugging a 110 lbs unit and still doing a good job, I work for clean and dry carpet. I also like to leave that noisy, smelly heater out side.
After 25 years to my age, and a limited budget, I'm back to carpet cleaning. I don't know whats going on, but its taking me too long to clean a room using the RV 360i, I use alot of water, i think.
The buckets, popping breakers and always checking the water levels really is alot of work / time.
What I have to do is... get the new air hog with the auto pump out. I will re-work my Mytee to add auto fill. See, if I can't get to a bath tub it will take me 6 to 10 minutes to fill my 12 gal tank. I use 6 to 10 gals. of water per 100 foot on medium soiled carpets.
With this Air Hog I have what I call BACK UP. If my pump goes out I can use the faucet, If a vac goes out I have 2 vacs left, at least I can get the job done and done right. The air hog is good unit for me and priced right. I got the exchange program. Thumbs up for Mytee, I will look for more mytee products.
If I was to start out again... I would think about getting the Recoil quad set up with auto fill and dump, or the the Rotovac CFX (x 2 pods in series) with the 27 gal tank, the down side is the max of a 250 psi on the pump. If mytee made a duel 3 stage unit that's (light) with auto fill, this new air hog, that would be nice.
I want auto fill and dump, 3 - 3 stage vacs or 4 - 2 stage vacs on 2 or 3 cords. System can be in two or three units, each unit under 60 lbs, with 12 plus Hg, 250 CFM plus air flow. I also need a solution and wast tank to hold about 10 gals of water in case I have to do with out auto fill and dump at a few sites. price must be under 5 grand.

Having used a portable in the pass and having to bring up steps cause the hose run was too far.. I would think it will help with a heavy portable to leave on the first floor instead carry up or down steps . Some places Tm 's will not work like for us guys do" high rise units "14 floors up .. Long runs in hallways this would work ..Can somebody explain to me please how this is beneficial to cleaners?
