    Re: Mytee Air Hog Reboot

That is nice very looking Vacuum Booster. I love that they added APO and the lint hog to it. Mytee has been on a roll lately with really killer new products. They stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park with this Booster. I can't wait to see the other ''Modular'' designs that they come up with. This Booster will make the Cross American crowd Mytee jealous. LOL

Mytee did indeed hit this one out of the park!! I think this is gonna change the way people think about and use portables for a long time to come!

But, please let's not start another portable debate...PS we need the "dead horse" smiley!

How about a smilely for stirring the pot !!

Only time will if Mytee hit a home run !! I personally like it only a little cautious because of the problems they had with their first attempt at a booster and the filter impeding the vacuum . Looking forward to some user reviews months down the road.

    Re: Mytee Air Hog Reboot

I was looking at this air hog and got to thinking you could run 2 -2" to the hog.

Like if you had a portable set up as a TM, you can hook two portables to the back. I just wonder how the ball float in the air hog would react to the air flow. Hooking to the lower port on the back would be the drain.

    Re: Mytee Air Hog Reboot

I was wondering when Mytee was going to copy CA's Mitey One. Man these guys add a little to a concept machine and think someone is going to just fall over themselves to buy it; especially after that booster debackle!!!!

    Re: Mytee Air Hog Reboot

So let me get this staight. With the Air Hog, this will add to the cfm and water lift. So if my cfm is 230 and water lift is 148 then with the Air Hog my cfm is now 345 and WL is now 292? Sorry still new to this.

My 2 cts : Manufacturers specs ???????? Specs may be what each motor is suppose to produce not 50,100 ,150 ft down the line.
Look at the gas mileage figures manufactures post, only in ideal conditions will they be met.
While working with GM and testing new machinery it always ran great in the vendors shop yet get it back in the "real world" it was usually a huge disappointment.

    Re: Mytee Air Hog Reboot

    water lift works different
lets say you have a 150 water lift in one vacuum then if you put one on series you will get up to 200+ water lift, but thatis whenyou putone vacuum behind the others, the airhog works on parallel, that will be an increase of cfm and it will improve the lift but it is just a little bit.

Help me understand Locko, what would the end specs be with 230 cfm and 148 water lift using the air hog?

    Re: Mytee Air Hog Reboot

345 cfm and 144 lift that will be the end specs on paper for m5 and theair hog, might vary a little bit on real life, the lift will be the same, but the cfm will be maybe 325 cfm

So with these spec, is it possible, like the video said to run 150 feet of hose? If not how many feet can you run?

I would say yes 100% you can run 150 ft with the M5 with the booster!! I know that you can run 100' ft with a stock M5 so 150' w/booster would be very possible IMO.

I agree with E . Have you tried 100 ft with your stock set up? Specs are very similar to Recoil. I suggest spend your money on a Little Giant for extreme heat . M5 standard with APO, correct?. Grab a 175 rotary for post bonneting if you feel carpets (commercial, berber) are damp, Extra dry passes , air movers etc..High heat will assist in drying.
I have not used a booster with my Recoil. If you must have a booster buy one that has been out in the field for a few years.
LEAVE THAT OVERWEIGHT MONSTER (M5) IN THE BOX !!!
PUT THE M5 IN PLACE OF MY RECOIL AS SHOWN IN THE PIC I SENT YOU OR PIC BELOW. IF THE M5 IS ALL THEY SAY IT IS YOU WILL HAVE A VERY PROFITABLE BUSINESS.ONLY DRAGGING IN THE SAME AMOUNT OF EQUIPMENT AS A TM OPERATOR WOULD. IF YOU USE A GENERATOR ALSO.

    Re: Mytee Air Hog Reboot

In this video you can see how well the new Mytee air hog vac booster works with the M-12 200 cfm machine. It has PLENTY of vac period. With the M-5 it would be even better. The m-12 uses the older 3 stage vacs like the recoil does. The m-5 has vacuum motors that are more modern and at least 20% more powerful.

    Re: Mytee Air Hog Reboot

I don't know the true specs. I would guess you lose about 10% lift time and air flow on first 25' of 2" hose using 1 - 3 stage vac.
With a hose run of 100' 2" hose, I would guess you lose up to 25% lift time and air flow using one vac.

Using 2 vacs with 3 stages you will gain a % of lift time back and % of air flow.

With more motors you will maintain peke performance.

More air flow will improve your lift time. Add the Lift time loss and Air flow loss lead to a 50% reduced performance.

Let me guess... A Motor can always reach a max lift in time on any hose length.
