Re: Down to the final three

If you want to do T&G and have af/ad, you should get the M12 (I use one and I can tell you it's great, but heavy - too heavy really)

M5 is great and a popular machine. Strong vacuum, not nearly as heavy and has af/ad w/500 psi max, but no heat.

Recoil is popular as well, 500+ psi (?) but no af/ad - but can be added at an additional cost.

Personally, I would go with the M12. It more than gets the job done and will do exactly what you're wanting the machine to do - assuming the weight does not bother you.

Have you looked at the CFX?

I can't really say anything good about Mytee. Crappy Customer service and A machine That I have severe regrets about purchasing because it is very undependable.

    Sorry to hear that.

What went wrong with the machine?

I saw in another thread you have a 360i, did you get a RV start-up package?

If the weight is the problem, can this be a leave in the truck machine? The CFX do not seem to me a leave in the truck machine.

    A topic of great debate.

Yes, but your hose runs are limited. You'll need a waste tank, should also add a booster if you can afford it and maybe a generator.

I noticed you said you didn't mention heat, are you using a 360i?

Funny you should ask that question. I want to use a 360i and I have asked this question before. If I have 360i do it really matter if the M12 has the power to do T&G?

As for heat I would love to have it, however I do not want to have to replace the motor because the heat has cut its lifespan, or is this something that I should just accept and move on?

Well, in that case, I would look at your purchase as a primary carpet machine. And of the 3 that you have on the list, I would personally choose the M5.

It seems several have started to lean towards the M12, but here's what I would do.

With a price tag of about $2.5k for the M12, it's a lot to invest for something that might not work the well on carpet. Instead, I would get the M5, and the coin that I'd save would be put toward a water otter for T&G.

If you doing carpet all the time, I would go for the most vacuum you could get.

Re: Down to the final three

Yup, go with the M5 if you are going to do primarily carpet. You could even rig some sort of electric pressure washer to work for t&g until you can move on to the water otter.

FWIW, I have a M12 and think it does a great job on carpet....it really kicks ass on t&g though!

RECOIL/LITTLE GIANT AND LEAVE IT IN THE "BOX" !!! 10-15 % T&G ?? You could use an Electric powered PRESSURE sprayer instead.

Re: Down to the final three

I just purchased a Ninja Warrior and love its a little heavy but has the rear casters to load in to my pick up. I primarily use a T/M and when I cant I use my Porty with a pressure washer works great. When you add a 1500psi pumptec pump in to a machine it adds at least 65 to 75 lbs. I only clean carpets at 200psi and very happy with this.
Ive always said my a gas motored machine for a truck mount and keep the electrics for Portie's.
    Good Luck

I agree with Wes on the M5 vac power & Pump capabilities.

But since you are getting Auto-Fill & Pump-Out, I would get a lighter Mytee Breeze with the same vacs and AF & PO.

It will cut a full 50 lbs compared to the M5 for a reasonable price.

    Breeze Dual 3-Stage w/PO & AF

Yes I got a package with the 360. Then like a couple months later they came out with the new one and were trying to get me to pay more to upgrade, Which was crap because they should have told me about the new one coming out soon, but they just want every dollar they can get out of you.

The Mytee had a leak right out of the box. The hose between the heaters broke apart at the crimp. When taking that hose off I see there is a stripped fitting too. I was like who the hell assembled this thing. Warranty covered the hose Mytee or the Rotovac Salesman wouldn't cover the fitting or teflon tape which wasn't alot but they should honor the warranty, right.... I didn't have time to sit and argue with him. Now the thing sprang another leak which I believe is coming from the pump but I'm not 100% sure yet and Haven't had the time to take it apart since I can't see where it's coming from. Plus from time to time the circuit indicator doesn't come on when I know for sure I'm on different circuits. It kind of has a mind of its own. lol. Plus its not a huge deal but if you look at My Mytee whenever it was molded they either didn't have a good mold or someone ground away too much of the plastic body and there are spots here and there that are very thin. Almost like a hole in it.
If you look inside its poorly designed and hoses are rubbing stuff and slowing causing ruptures. I had to wrap alot of the hoses to prevent this.
I've said it before but It would not surprise me one bit if this machine caught fire.

Man you got a bad machine. I would have returned the whole thing. I do not think all Mytee are that bad,but your sound like it really sucked. As for the 360, you are right. Most companies make their money off upgrades then the product themselves.

Wow, for something that weighs less it cost more or is it the Cobb pricing?

Re: Down to the final three

It costs slightly more due to the Pump Out Filtration and Auto-Fill equipment we use.
    Pump-Out System

It is also a custom build.

We do have the Mytee M5 for $2099.

I know, which machine I would haul around every day !!
