If you guys do buy used you will get the same support. From here and Rotovac..You need parts and support they will give it too ..Ask for Mike Rowe he is the best in the business for support at Rotovac... And here I would be happy to help with any questions you guys have...

    Re: Finally bought my equipment!!

I don't want to rain on your deal but think about this. I watched all the same auctions you did. the guy you are buying from can't offer a copy of his bill of sale. not willing to ask for a dup from RV and can't send a picture of the 3stg vacs. His emails to me contain foul langauge (not towards me) just his style. he is a long way from me for a deal that feels awakward. Next ebay deal. Current listing NOW..... RV widetrack , no picture posted, like new, perfect and used once. $1,500.00 sounds good so far? As lady luck would have it he is 10min from my home. I drive over to pawn shop row to see it. (CC glock 40)
He is not there but has left it for me to inspect. One tire is melted flat on one side, head cover is melted and warped, full of fibers, all parts loose, it has hit everything everywhere. looks like a parts doner. If I has bought this long distance and waited with kid in the candy store happiness and this POS came of the UPS truck someone would have taken home an empty clip. Good luck brother. Over.

    Re: Finally bought my equipment!!

I emailed that seller on Ebay as well...he told me he would hand deliver the setup to me for $3200 but something about his response helped me pass on the deal. It is a good value for sure....let us know how it works!

    Re: Finally bought my equipment!!

Good I have seen videos from Rotovac and really they are an excellent manufacturer and inovator in the industry. They don't copy they do their own thing which I respect. With the specs you posted I really think you will be just fine! Feel good ! You made a decision so now go for it! I wish you the best!

    Re: Finally bought my equipment!!

    this is a great post..
as far as portys go.. and truckmounts go.. Portys are great and do as they are designed to do, Clean carpets, same goes for a truckmount.
Portys can basically go anywhere and hook up anywhere there is power.
Trucksmounts do provide better cleaning and heat. and also decrease in drying times.
I use a tm for just about any job that is over 800 sf, anything less I use my porty.
The advantages of a truckmount are low noise in the home. higher flushing rate and extraction of water to rinse dirt away.

portys do have longer setup times and slower cleaning times. filling tanks emptying tanks unless you have auto add and drain.
tm shorter setup times. you carry the inside hoses, wand, presprayer, then run a hose to the house, connect and you off and running.

on both accounts once you get your method of setup down though.. each is equally awesome.

congrats on the new stuff.. I hope you didnt get burned on the deal. If it is a POS. your covered by ebay paypal. take pictures before you open it. and while opening it. to document everything. I lost a case because the seller said it wasnt the right package. they took his side. even though the product was simular to what I bought just 100 times worse..

post some pics man when you get it. good or bad..

    Re: Finally bought my equipment!!

Congrats man.. Dry times? How are they with the 2x2 or 3x3 and 360?

After you do an area run your palm over it and see how much water you have on your palm.
If its substantial you might want to change to smaller jets or do more dry passes.

    Re: Finally bought my equipment!!

Well Brad, on a positive note, good luck with your business.
Some guys down the porty guys but just ignore them. If this
is what you can afford right now then do what you need to do.
Rotovac equipment is very good and I've used it for a long time.
IFsome day you need to invest in a TM then Still talk with them,
    they sell TM also.

I was going to ask on here if it was a good deal....
But I thought it was and I didnt want any unwelcome bidders

RV rep quoted me 4600 plus shipping for same package.

They had it for 3400 but no one bid. They then relisted it for 3000...still no bidders. I bid on it with 15 sec left.
My greedy side wanted to see if they would relist a 3rd time for maybe 2500...I was afraid they wouldnt relist it a 3rd time though.
    I would have been pee-oed!

I've been searching ebay and CL for a deal for 7 months!

you dont have to spend that much to get a great TM. a lil boxer 318 will do just fine. Think of it as a 4 porty setup, and the same as what Mr. Turner said. know how to use it.

Well I used savings to acquire my equipment.... so no debt!

I see it as investing in my business.

I think it is a bad idea to go into debt when starting a one-man company.

Especially when my goal is to make money.

Great idea! As you're biz grows you can buy a tm later on and/or keep using the portable.

We did the same thing as you and have no regrets at all! Everything I have is paid for and I am looking in going back to a high powered portable setup as apposed to using my tm.
