Re: Looking at purchasing a Masterblend Truckforce 3500...Does it have what it takes?

Yeah, the Mytee, seems like a good purchase as well as a handy tool to have in my tool box. I will be picking one up.

    Hi Thomas,
I am not an electrician but the guy I bought my booster off of also had something else I am going to buy. It is a plug that goes into the drier outlet (220) and splits it into two 20 amp circuits on the other end so you can actually plug two of your portable plugs into it and then if you need a third outlet, you can put it anywhere else in the house. I'll ask him where he got it from and maybe you can get one. The cost of it is only about $100 +.

Thomas the Rotovac 360 is a very fine piece of equipment! However there are only so many amps available with two circuits. And really with your Truckforce you would do fine just using that with the 360 . You just have to keep it at 50 feet and no more. Use antifoam and let it breathe becuase of the cfm. But perhaps with that much lift I could see how it could work well for you.

I believe what your referring to is an electrical converter. Mytee sells it and they are $179. I actually have a bid on one at eBay.

Jan, I actually have a Rotovac Powerwand on the way. I just like that machine better than the Rotovac 360 currently. But the 360 could be a winner, I just need to play with it some more.

I will need to invest in some anti-foam. Do you prefer liquid or powder. I've heard that dipping a sponge in a anti-foam and sitting it in your waste tank is very helpful and lasts better than just putting it in your waste tank.

I ran the machine last night with 50' of hose and the vacuum was screaming. I don't think I'll a problem with up to 100' of hose. I don't plan to go over 100'. Before I received the machine I was worried about the triple 2-stage vacs, now I'm a believer!

Re: Looking at purchasing a Masterblend Truckforce 3500...Does it have what it takes?

I stated how the vacuum works but not the pump, it is on the fritz. It is a PumpTec 205. It builds pressure up to 500psi, but when I squeeze the wand trigger the pressure drops to under 180psi then stays at a slow drizzle. I tried purging the line of an air bubble by using the primer value on front and by using a high pressure hose with a shut off valve on it. I inserted the line into the vacuum inlet, then cranked the 3 vac motors up while turning the shut off/on, off/on in a few sequences on the solution line to try any bleed out the air with a high volume of water. I did this numerous times, still the pump would not act right. I think I may have to rebuild it with kit a, b, or c. Not sure. I'll take it to my local cleaner supply and repair place on Monday so they can track down the problem.

The wand jets are (2) 11002 sized jets.

Does anyone know if there are any serviceable parts on the pump that I should take a look at myself before taking it in? Screens, filters, etc.

Thomas , For some reason I thought you were going to get a 360 so that is my error. No problem I have used the original Rotovac and I liked it especially for portables. So I wish you the best . It sounds like a very good setup. You have everything to be able to an excellent job !

Thank you. Have you any experience with pumps going out and having to fix them?

Re: Looking at purchasing a Masterblend Truckforce 3500...Does it have what it takes?

My Steamway has a Cat pump and I even have a new extra one, still in the box. They last a very long time before they break. Every once in a while, I would get an air pocket that caused a problem but I have this fitting that allows me to force water through the system, pushing out the air.

Thomas, I agree that it seems to have a clogged filter somewhere based on it ramping up good pressure but not being able to sustain it. Make sure you rule everything out first. Change tools etc to eliminate the wand from the equation. Does the wand have an inline filter?

I may need to see about finding the screens or filters on the TF 3500. Does anyone here know?

Re: Looking at purchasing a Masterblend Truckforce 3500...Does it have what it takes?

I've used the machine now on 3 paying jobs. It has performed well. I am still working the bugs out and familiarizing myself with the machine and its operation. Overall its been a positive experience. Paired w/the rotovac powerwand bumps it up a notch. The high lift of the TF3500 and high agitation and flow of the rotovac are a gd combo.
