    Thanks Mo you made me famous
    Orbit Kleen, OK I'll admit ,, the wand was hooked up to a vortex, lol

    I posted this video for friends of mine on another forum, I had nothing to prove to them just wanted to show my new toy, so I didn't get the machine in the video, This was 75 ft of hose carpet was bone dry in 2 hours (I admit it wasn't to dirty)The heat is LG propane set on the "warm" notch, it can get much hotter but I have an older solution line and I don't want to press my luck with it.

    Rob,
    thanks for the compliment, In awnswer to your questions...

    1)The tape is not to hold on the glide but to seal it, so there's no air leaks. I didn't want to seal it with glue yet in case I don't like the glide and wanted to try a different brand.

    2)The glide is from mytee and it's a hybred.

    3)I have no idea what the flow is,

    4)Propane heat

    5) Not running a booster,

    6) no generator , I have 2 100 foot cords rolled up together on that reel you see to the left of the recoil

    (Rob's Questions)
    1) Is that tape on the front of the wand holding on a mytee glide?

    2) Is the glide holed or slotted?

    3) What flow jets are on the wand?

    4) Does the Recoil have heat or are you using propane heat only?

    5) Are you running a vacuum booster? If so which one?

    6) Are you using a generator at the truck?

    ''The recoil 4 is so powerful that a #4 blower can not keep up with it.The improvements of the new generation 4 is up to 151 inches of water lift, cfm up to 362 without the power booster''

    That is a nice looking machine but I don't think I believe that statement.With a #4 blower you should be able to run 300' of hose and still have more vac then that recoil has at 50'

    I am sure it is a powerful portable that runs on 3 cords but wouldn't it be a better idea to just use the regular recoil with a booster closer to the wand if you are going to use 3 cords?

    I think he's saying that you may suck up the curtain with the wand. I would imagine it wouldn't be that much of a concern with that banana glide.

    Thanks for the answers Mojo. I would only recommend one thing. I would run a slotted glide to prevent uneven flow and maximize lift.

    Here are the pics to scale also;

    Keep the vids and picks coming guys.

    Also, for the ones who are putting up the vids, do you have any gauges, CFM, vacuum, PSI, etc? I would really like to know what your getting at the end of your hose, at 50', 100', 150', more...

    James,

    I'm glad to see you got to do the portable you were talking about when you came to my shop to visit.

    I'm sure it works very well.

    Yes Bob, finally I did it, and yes it's everything I knew it would be. I just wish I wasn't as broken down as I am, so that I could enjoy the power!! Now that I've made that one, I can't wait to start another!!

    Is the Recoil a non-heated portable? Looks to me like it is all vacuum. And wouldn't larger diameter, smooth bore hoses on the inside increase the vacuum??

    Smooth bore hoses generally decrease turbulence and reduce the friction as the air is traveling through them. I would expect the CFM to go up slightly, but I would imagine that water lift numbers would be relatively unaffected.

    Another thing that I would like to know is how much that pump flows?

    Can anyone who owns one tell me if it has a PSI gauge on it? If so, does it drop in PSI when the wand is triggered?

    There sure are alot of hoses in there, LOL I counted 6 and about 15-18' of hook up connector hose. There has to be a more efficient way to mount the vacs. I like the direct hook up vac mounted straight on the recovery tank like the CFX , SD , Masterforce, truckforce and Savage TM use. It is just a better design to mount the vacs directly to the recovery tank with out the need for connectors hose.IMO

    I just do not get why all of the recoil fans keep saying that this machine has the best design and the best engineering?

    That is not a good example of good engineering IMO.

    that is kind of rediculous looking if you really think about it.

    The vac in the back of the machine has 6 ft. of hose running off of it before it even connects to the recovery tank .
    I don't like it.

    Frank;

    I just do not get why all of the recoil operators keep saying that this machine has the best design and the best engineering?
    If you are the only one standing on the "other side of the fence", would you perhaps not scratch your head and consider beyond the "generic" way of doing things that just might create greater efficiency and/or performance, especially when it has been proven time and time again? Especially when it also is proven that this system also appears to be the standard that others are trying desparately to compare their models to and/or develop knock offs?

    Frank, I offer this only as a some what respectful suggestion for you to think about only because you have also proven to be so critical in a relentless manner whenever our Great machines or my Good name becomes a subject:

    "There are engineers who ride in the front of the train, while others ride in the caboose"

    Hummmmmm.

    Oh, one last note here; Frank, we can not satisfy everyone out there no matter how hard we try (just as you can not in your business either), no matter what we offer or how hard we service them. Although we strive for 100%, we realize that it is 97% because of some obvious variables.

    The very best to all above and to the "origional subject (??!!);
    Ed Valentine

    Ed Valentine
    I guess I'm the only one on the other side of the fence that's still waiting for the "proof" of performance. Especially the time and time again part.

    I thought we had a few people that were going to throw up some vids. What happened to those?

So with a booster it would be around 481 CFM, and that's a lot suction for a portable unit. This machine is designed as such that doesn't kick breakers.

    It has a 500psi pump also. When Ed and I were working on it we were so excited, and nervous to start it up. There are 1950 air watts in the RECOIL 4, its an ANIMAL. The drying time is 2-3 hours on the carpets, I tested. this machine that has the most suction I have ever seen.

    Sincerely; James V

    This is copy of the email Ed Sent me!! Man that would rock the house for ya!!

    I don't believe for one minute that a TM with a #4 blower can not keep up with it, LOL .That is a rediculous statement to make IMO.

    It is 3 -3 stage vacs stuff into a plastic box with a bunch of hoses running off of it. Any machine with 2-3stage vacs and a 3 stage booster closer to the wand would have better peformance.

    I have a video I shot on my cell phone,sorry not to good of camera. Im running 100 ft of 2 inch hose with a Rotovac. Excellant suction. The bottom line is for 3 k you can have a electric tm / portable to clean the regular house. The average house is 100 ft hose , sure you can get a tm with a heafty price tag 11- 17k or upto 90 k . If your wanting a portable that run the distance give this a unit a shot.I have 3 mytee units as well . The mytee is great but only for 25 ft hose and the custy service just plain old sucks . Hopes this helps click on the links......
