I understand the budget; but you can get something with a proven track record, American Made, and equal to an M-5 for a few hundred bucks more that can be run from a hackback Honda car. Seems the gas from the car saves would wll be worth it.

    EEEEE,
Have you tried Craiglist? See them in Detroit Metro area used from $100 on up. Vary in size from 13 to 21 inch buffers.

Thanks Jim. We have a 17" PowerFlite that we have been using for a while now but want something smaller for upstairs and tight areas. We have searched high and low for a 13" one with no luck. We might just break down and buy a new one. Will keep my eyes open.

I think that the Best portable for 2k would have to be the MYTEE 1005dx for 1598 period.

I'm not sure how good it would be for anything else E, but i think it would work fine just to scrub carpet with.

Thanks Ryan, I have seen that before just never really thought about it. It seems kinda light weight for any good agitation.

Does anyone have or seen this thing in action? Would like a little feedback if so!

This one is heated for 1798. you really can't go wrong IMO. There is NO reason to spend 3-4k on a portable unless your buying a rotovac CFX 360 system. I think the rotovac system sells for 2999.

Depends on the options you want. I like the option of a heat source separate from the portable machine so if your heater goes bad you don't lose you ability to clean should you have to take the porty in for service. Just my choice.

I called to mytee asking about their vac booster and they told they will have a new booster in 6 weeks.
Ok,but they main reason to mytee was to ask about the amount of amps the machine draws, then asking about the heater, but the did notlike te questins a i was asking, i was nice etc etc,i was just asking.
That make me think no to buy a portable from mytee. the guy was friendly. even the mytee 1003dx sounds interesting.
Ben the guy from amtex is really good, and Ed valentine have the patiente etc. Another company has a good costumer service was usproducts.

I keep telling everyone Koblenz P-4000 for an upstairs or prescrubber period. the lack of weight is made up with the speed at which the scrubbing is done. BTW a 90 lbs floor machine can ripple cgd and pile carpet. Koblenz machine I am refering to comes with a 1 gallon tank and brush for $200.

    Thanks Rickie.

I have the Koblenz 2600 (I think) and use that for light duty scrubbing and tile cleaning. I would like a 13" though.

Yeah Locko...but you gotta figure the guy didn't want to say too much thinking you were "cherry picking" for info on their products. This IS a competitive business.

I understand. Best I can tell they are American made motors but Ken can probably tell you more. He knows alot about Mytee and I don't think he'll give you bum info. I'm checking on his Turbo Teck vac motors to replace motors for my Mytee M5 vacs when they go bad...right now they're going strong but I want to have replacements on hand.

    Jaime,

We here at Mytee Products are always happy to answer any questions people have about our machines. I would personally be happy to answer any question you (or anyone) have about our machines. We keep no “secrets” about how they operate or perform.

To address some of the things asked in this discussion –

The 1005DX is not a heated unit. It uses high performance rated vacuum motors, for maximum airflow (230 C.F.M.) - which is about 15% more than normal 3 stages can produce. It can be used with one of our external in-line heaters, if desired.

It also seems that some people think (or at least imply) that our machines are made out of the country. Nothing could be further from the truth. In reality, we are one of the only Companies out there that not only manufactures it’s own machines, but uses domestic sources for it’s major components.

The fact of the matter is, the biggest vacuum motor manufacturer in our industry makes most of their motors overseas right now. They have factories in Mexico, China, and Italy. The vacuum motors we use are made in Tennessee.

Mytee is using what I believe is the only diaphragm solution pump available that is still being made in the US.

We manufacturer our own plastic housings right here in our plant, from scratch.

We assemble everything we sell, from the ground up, right here in our own factory in Poway, CA. (For the record, California is not a foreign country.)

We offer a 2-year warranty on all the major components in our units – who else does this?

We offer a lifetime warranty on every plastic housing we make – once again, we are the only Company I am aware of that offers this.

Anyone implying something other than this is distorting the facts of the matter.

The truth of the matter is that for under $2,000, there is not a machine out there than can touch a Mytee. I realize I am a bit biased, but there are plenty of Mytee users out there who would tell you the same.

I would be happy to help you out further with any question you have – you can dial our office, and ask for extension 217.

    Thanks.

    Nathan Pepper

As Nathan explained, the Mytee with Hi-Perf vac motors AND 500 PSI pump system is a great buy at $2k.

We sell a lot of them to our customers who appreciate the power they deliver.

there is a motor 13amps,with 130 lift and 130 cfm,so 2 will be 260 cfm, btw they are only 2 stages.
motors are from lighthouse. I somebody can do the 3 motors that will be 390 cfm,of course that will be on paper, really is different, but it is possible.
