Been there. First thing I check now when there is a vac loss. The worst part is I worked with someone formerly who was cleaning with the drain hose open and kept on cleaning. How can you not notice the difference in suction and realize there is a problem?

It was Monday and I just returned from a weekend trip to the coast. I think I left my brain there.

Well I get to my first job stretch out all the hose needed, fill up my sprayer and crank the machine. The machine runs fine for about 4 minutes and then shuts off. Next I check the oil because the El Diablos run through some major oil. Oil level is low so I fill her up and still nothing. Next I take a look at the gas filter and there seems to be fuel moving through it so I think I am good there. I also looked at the waste float to make sure it was not stuck, it was not. Next I call my distributer and no help there. I end up waiting 30 more minutes for masterBlend to open so I can talk to a tech over the phone. Finally I get a tech on the phone and we run through a few more items such as checking spark plugs for a spark. Thats OK so next he tells me it is probably a solenoid or something like that so I would need to take it in. I call Sunbelt back and get a quick appointment for them to look at it. 1 1/2 hour round trip! Well I then arrive at Sunbelt and he turns the key and says it sounds like no gas is getting to the machine. He goes under the truck unhooks the gas tap and blows into the line with no sound of bubbles and tells me you are out of gas. How I made it over 60 miles on less than an 1/8th of a tank of gas I will never know but I felt like the words biggest dumba$$!

Happens to all of us one time or another. Did I even notice the gas needle was on E or did I think E meant FULL! Who knows but as soon as I filled her up she cranked right up!

Total waste of a day!

You think that is bone headed; I use propane bottle from machine on grill because I was too lazy that day to run to walmart; Next day I get it all hooked up for a residential job and was search desperately for my extension lighter!!!

Well even after I realized I left it at Home in the BBQ Pitt I still asked my tech for his Lighter!!

After I snapped to I realized I hadn't changed my diaper in a day also!!

Since were all being men and admitting our weaknesses, Something not normally done on TMF, One of the dumbest things I do, and totally cannot help it is remember people's names by their face. My wife can remember someone by name that we havent seen in 2 years that just walks into the shop. "Hello Simon! How are you? How is your wife Elsie and your little dog boots?" It drives me nuts,
because I can clean someones carpets that morning, go back to the shop and they show up to pay for it and I'll ask them "how can I help you, and your name is"?
Now that's alzheimers! (Or maybe just tiredness!)


Seriously, to me after so many years of it, my customers have just become a blur of Middle aged ladies, they
all look the same to me now lol.

I got one.

Back when I used to put up signs on wooden posts, I used to make sure my sign was 20-30ft up. One night when I placed my ladder against the pole, I didnt realize I stepped in an ants nest till I got to the top and started banging the nails in.........all of a sudden, my ankle was on fire, I can't see anything so I immediately start shaking my leg, shaking so hard the ladder toppled over with me hanging onto the pole for dear life.

Do you have any idea how many nails from previous idiots are still on that wooden post???????????? ALOT, because I had to slide down.

Has anyone ever ran a spare vac hose to dump into a sewage outlet on the side of the house then fire up the machine and notice vaccum is intermittant then run out to the truck to smell all the fresh raw sewage you sucked from their septic tank. And didnt charge them 5k to do it.. what a beyond gag reflex event thinking about it is making me gag. stunk up the entire neighborhood.

How about leaving your chemical system in prime. All the soap spits out and you wonder wtf happened to the freshly made soap.
