Thread: Scientists say Earth is at tipping point

According to many scientists the Earth is moving closer to irreversible damage. Included are rain forests,lakes,rivers,reefs,and major parts of the food food chain that are becoming extint. Greed is slowly destroying our planet. I really feel sad for our children and grandchildren.

Rick how many species and rain forests can we wipe out before we should "buy" into it? Perhaps you could give us the line of demarcation. And I am not being "smart" with that comment. In my area there are many bee farms and the hives are collapsing with no apparent reason. I do know without them human food sources are in jeopardy. That is only one species but 1000's are being wiped out.

I'm no scientist but even with mechanical things,it is logical for me to believe I can only take so many parts out of a system before the system collapses.

Scientist in the 70's - The world is cooling at an alarming rate and we will be in the middle of an ice age by the 1990's
Scientist in the 90's and present - The world is warming at an alarming rate blah blah blah

I do believe we need to be better though....all do our part.

Here is something to think about. The ice in the Arctic has decreased by 7% +/- and the media is all over it....but the ice in the Antarctic has increased by 43% +/- but you never see anything in the media about that.....interesting....

I am not an alarmist and don't buy into everything said. But I do know that if you take out key components of a system it will fail or be ruined.

Not sure how rain forrest species must go; but I know we need to wipe out all sharks!!!

Joking actually scientist research a lot on sharks because to all know test you can't even inplant cancer into a shark.

Believing a UN scientist Is nieve at best. They have an agenda to line their pockets by promoting this chicken little sky is falling propaganda. Many of their sciensts have been proven to be wrong and have been just making up data that can't be repricated. Infact many of the scientists quoted by the UN are not even scientists at all. Opinions are not science. Science should not be develped to promate agendas.

The UN has been wrong on almost everything they touch.

Why should they be right on this one thing.

They just want more money to go into their neverending money pit.

Dave the united states nearly collapsed the entire ozone with nuclear **** testing, and hydrogen **** testing in the antarctic. as we all know a nuke dispenses an EMP or electromagnetic pulse. destroying anything that is an energy source. like the ozone for example. The u.s. army did a nuke test called orange sunshine in alaska that was the sole reason they know do the tests underground to keep the ozone from de-activating. This info came from my Grand father who flew aircraft in the airforce during the project.

But.. as far as the entire ecosystem collapsing yup.. american companies like Weyerhauser and Bosie are currently scalping the entire rain forest for cash, because buying trees from canada became impossible, and half or Oregon's tree are nearly scalped as well. Once people start raping the land. It kills the lil things that add upto bigger things. killing a beetle starves a bird, that starves a snake that starves a predator bird that allow the mice to breed crazy they inturn eat bark instead of the beetle the tree dies the fungus dies the ferns dies and so on and so on..

Richard anything that emites energy, like powerlines, cell phone towers, cell phones, radar guns, radio stations, citezin band radios, granite counter tops, and satellites in orbit. all have one thing in common, they are sources of radiation. thats why the people are dying from cancer. and why the U.S. has abolished the use of analogue radio sources. Because they do in fact produce more radiation than a digital sourced radio signal. you may just be in a high risk area. move asap!!

Thats why I had my house built with a stainless steel Faraday Shield surrounding any and all surfaces including the floor. its beneath all the facia of the exteriors but. Nothing radio will ever work in my house. or anything with radio waves gets in either.
Call me crazy thats okay too, the contracters just loved it when I crawled up their butts to make darn sure it was installed and overlapped by three inches at seams and protruding edges or corners.

You know, here's my theory on these "scientist" or "experts of a certain field"..

We, in the carpet cleaning industry, know the difference between guys who are carpet cleaners, and guys like us who Clean Carpet. The public can't tell the difference between us and the other guys, but we know who's the hacks and the guys that don't know WTF they are talking about.....so then I wonder....

We are the public.....which scientists or "experts" are WE getting?

Well, about 95% of all species have become extinct. Thousands of species become extinct every year. It's called life. The UN as a scientific body is worthless. Any group of "scientists" that uses the term consensus as a reason for anything are not to be given credence. Any group that sides with Al Gore Jr on anything related to science is suspect.

Remember, 1000 years ago the scientists knew the world was flat, in the 19th century it was declared the patent office should be shut down - nothing left to invent,forty years ago we would be in an ice age in twenty years if we didn't do SOMETHING right now!!!!, twenty years ago we were headed for massive global warming if we didn't do something right NOW!!!!, now, it's climate change unless we do something right NOW!!!!!

Note, nobody from these various "scientific" groups have EVER explained how WE caused it, but, it was WARMER in 700AD than it is now AND where they claim "devastation" levels of global warming would be. Yes, it was warmer then that these bozos are worried about us reaching and wiping out the earth. CLUE: If we've already survived at a given level, odds are against a lower level wiping us out.

That little volcano in northern Europe just dumped more pollution than we can ever hope to dump. Any group that considers plant food to be a pollution while claiming we are killing off the plants needs to be derided not followed.
