About LinkBacksI have a problem. I am using vonage right now as my business number. I am moving to a house for a few weeks that does not have a cable modem. Vonage service will not work w/o cable. It is a transferable number. Does anyone have any ideas of what I should do. The number is set up to forward to my cell phone right now

Just change the vontage number to your cell phone number and get rid of the service that needs cable if you want.
I had my landline number changed onto my cell a couple of years ago.

Do you need to move it? If all its doing is forwarding calls to your cell and no one will trouble it leave it there. I know in majic jack I can forward all my calls on their backoffice and I dont have majic jack setup on any of my computers. So see if you can just forward all calls in your back office area if vonage has one and that should take care of that, that way you can store the hardware for vonage and still get all your calls on you cell.

Im sorry i missed this post.
Vonage has forward capabilities as part of their website. You can have it forward to your cell or what ever number you pick. Or go out and buy a cheap burner (disposable cell phone) and have vonage forward to that, if you need the business line not to go to your cell.
Vonage has always had this option, and quite honestly it confused me sometimes when ppl called me on my cell and they thought i was home ... this confused me untill i learned to ask if they called the house phone then i knew the internet was down and the phone calls were being forwarded.
