I tried this handy hint today and was suprised how well it worked.
I was cleaning a white wool carpet and there was a couple of dark blue ink spots.
I used a liquid hand sanitiser (not containing aloe vera) and simply put the gel on the spot.
Being a GEL, it was suspended and did not allow the ink to expand.
I simply dabbed the GEL with a clean white cloth getting transfer all the time. I kept repeating the process until it stopped the transfer.
When extracting, i sprayed a little Citrus solve on the remaining mark and removed it.
