Made in the USA, I love the sound of that! it never gets old. I like John's Idea of the wrap, you could have several different options to choose from or even have the option of custom monogram. (company logo) I bet that you could get several different companies to pay for the wraps to promote their products, Dupont, Scotch Gaurd or Bridge point (Maxim) would love to get a shot at promoting their product to Mrs, Home owner.(just an Idea) Now, how can we get one of these bad boys?

And no clean up. Im a little concerned about those bags i.e. cleaning them or them getting ripped. Other than that it looks like a great
    inline filter.

No you do not use pantyhose for this one. You need to Know something, The HF that you are useing you say you clean it twice a day, Ok thats good but you are loseing cfm half way to your changing. Did you test w/o mod hydro in your hose run to see how much you lose even with mod 2.5. Don't get me wrong that the best filter we have when we open it up to 2.5 but you still lose some not much but you go backwards when you hook it up clean. The bags last a long time and are about $ 4.00 for 2 of them. I did get a hole in one the other day but I sucked a bunch of BB's or lead split shots for fishing a lot like a box full I took my wand off and sucked them up I think it was like a shot gun effect. still finished the job but I threw it away been useing it for a couple weeks at least. Thanks for the compliment.

Great, I'd like to try one too. Can you post info or PM with details on how to buy one with the filter bags?

Here is another review on the filter

I've been using this filter for about 2 weeks now. I have done about 8 jobs with it without cleaning it. I am going to make a claim, since my only experience with filters is this or the Pool filter with 1/2" holes drilled, that this is "The Best **** Filter Out". That's right, this filter continues non stop performance, even when not cleaned after 8 jobs. Keep in mind, I pre-vac my jobs, and I rarely do trashed houses, and most of my customers are upper middle class or higher. But, the carpet fibers, hairs, etc.. gets trapped. My only negative is that the filter is big, but I believe the reason it performs like it does is because of it being so big. I have also thankfully ditched the 50' of 2.5" hose, because the performance gain from the Devestator on just 2" hose was amazing. I have 2.5" barb on the waste tank and 2.5 connector on my TM going to the Devestator, about 3', then the rest is 2" all the way. I bought this based off the makers videos, and conversations regarding the deficiencies of the pool filter. If you hate the pool filter, and know it is robbing performance, then buy this Devestator, you will not regret it

    Eric
Richard you were asking about the box I have not used it personally and when I first started working on the Devastator my comment was I don't think I can top SS Box. I was told that it leaks air and doesn't flow air to well. I don't know this for fact just what I was told. 500.00 is a lot of money

    Re: 30 percent increase

I have seen this tool for sale on Craigslist. Not sure if its you selling and marketing it for a while with a price that has been going for around $300. Question? Are the two hoses inputs or outputs? I know you mentioned you could not speak foe the sapphire scientific but seems to be a very good contender

I do have a ad on CL if you word the ad right when people do a seach for in line filter it will pull it up. The 2 hoses are when guys want to run 4 2 Door, My filter becomes the "Y" if you added up what the cost would be to got with 2 poolies, a "y" , and all the COOL CUFFS you would be at at or above $ 500.00. Thats with modified poolies with cool cuffs.
I'm not in any big rush to sell them I enjoy making them and the guys are all happy the biggest thing is it is heavier than poolies, but the performance.... I cant imagine cleaning without it, or going back to a poolie.
I only go out and check the filter to see what I'm getting out of the carpet. Never because of loss of airflow or vac that is a thing of the past, the time it saves is big, Joe and I will be getting throw away liners that if you like you could wash them or toss them up to you, 100 times stronger than pantyhose.

30 percent is being nice a stock poolie is negetive 40-45 cfm CLEAN, this filter doesn't lose air flow when hooked to hose run.

Tom how about giving us some data on lift. In our tests we have found cfm has little impact on cleaning compared to lift.

Even though I see some benefit in your system I personally run filterless and this prevents me from lugging extra hose. I also save a ton of time and aggravation.

    Rob,
I was just scrolling around and found this older post, sorry I never answered you earlier,
Let me start by saying nothing is going to give the performance of running filterless. But this filter is as close as you can get IMHO, I also know there is other filters out there that compair to mine the difference will be the price @ $225.00 vs @ $500.00.
You asked about lift, what we are trying to get is a system that robs as little lift as possible in the hose run with or without filters, Why? the more lift you save the more it will be focused on the carpet/wand contact area.
Take a poolie hook it to your hose and the go check the vac gauge it will have changed because they are restrictive, with the Devastator the guage has almost NO EFFECT on the vac, CFM and Lift work together you need both to get a nice clean carpet. LIFT is what MAKES cfm it is the horsepower of the system. This is why I say this, go out and adjust your Vac relief vavle down to 2" of lift so that it opens very easily hook up a 100' of hose and do a cfm run on your hose, now do the same test with the RV set at 17" of lift you are going to have more or a higher cfm reading. WHY ? Because like I said before lift is the HP of the system.
The problem is most guys are running Truck Moounts with 20 hp power plants so they are more effected by hose restriction than say a 68 hp power plant. The bigger blowers have the power to over take the 2.0 hose retriction and the poolie filters, and the debris in the poolie filters.
