- Born 9/22/1956. Started cleaning carpet early 80's. Bought my first portable in 1987. I am mostly self taught, but I try hard! I worked with portables a few years then and electric truck mount with a Paloma water heater. Later changed to a Little Giant for better heat. Switched to heat exchanger truck mount around 1999 and been using one ever since, but would strongly consider going back to a fueled heater system next time around!
