Rich Cleaner Conference October 16th to the 18th of 2008

NOTE:Below are the posts that were made previously, in a different thread about the "Rich Cleaner Conference". I removed that guys video because of various reasons. I also kept everyones comments to keep it fair for *everyone*.

This thread will have all the details of what I thought of the (Joe Polish) Rich Cleaners Conference, plus coverage of the expo.

Although I can't watch movies like the one presented, I am giving it a shot and I will personally be attending the Rich Cleaner Conference in October.

I will keep you guys posted on how it went.

And just to let everyone know for good measure, I also would like to attend SFS & Howard Partridge round table someday......

1) TheEyeBall: I can't watch 10 minutes of that, sorry.

2) Aaron Richards: I only made it 28 seconds, but to each their own. Not a huge JP or HP fan!

3) Rob Allen: I think too many people rush to judgement when they here Joe. The tendancy is to lump him in with all the other stratagists. Three things made me change my views.

1)I remember early in my business I got the Joe Polish info. I used it and it helped my company way back when,lol. After I got up and running strong I didn't keep up with him. Recently I have been thinking he has had staying power for a reason and worth another shot. So I am going to attend his next his big conference.

2)A local cleaner here signed up with Joe and his business shot up past me in a short time, I was shocked.

3)He has attracted high quality people like Lisa Wagner. I, like most in the industry, recognize from her articles and interviews through the years that she operates on a Premium level. On top of that her enthusiasm is contagious and I have caught it,lol.:p

So I am going to give it a shot again as part of revamping my 23 year old business. I am always looking for ways to stay inspired. That is why I attended Jon-Dons SFS class. What have I got to lose, he still offers a money back guarantee. So why not.
And somehow Joe has maintained his passion and enthusiasm for our industry. It rubbed off on Lisa. Hopefully it will rub off on me too!!!

Hi Tre,

It was great to meet you at Connections - you have a very enthusiastic team. And I love the idea of networking with the other forums to maximize value for everyone instead of this silly idea that it's always "us" vs. "them". I've always been open to working with my competition ... and actually, quite a few of my competitors are my clients - in my rug shop AND at Piranha Marketing.

So, you asked about the conference - which in the past has been only open to members, but has been opened up to non-members this year specifically due to the economy and because I can see in all of my other industry channels I've been connected to in the past (IICRC, CFI, WFCA, Connections, etc.) that there are a number of cleaners who will go out of business ... so I wanted to make sure that those who need it can tap into the materials. you are very lucky in the states that you have conferences like that. we are so far from all this action. and it is very expensive for us to came all the way. one day i will do that

I was inspired by the event but felt that it lacked some of the hard information that I was hoping for. Great group of people and would recommend this to everyone-

Its not the kind of marketing i would want to associate with my business , but some folks claim it works .

Hard work , taking care of your customer , continueing to educate yourself , and hustleing in general will also work . Working your customer base , creating cheerleaders , doing things the right way instead of loooking for quick rich schemes .

Nothing against Joe P. , but I wasnt too impressed with the ethics of the " ethical website . "

I feel perhaps there could be a happy medium. Joe's info and training has worked for some. On the other hand many of us are self-motivated as James stated. Now my wife and son did fly out there. I spoke with my wife and she is a good judge of character...except she chose me, lol. :ballchain:

She was inspired by the speakers, Bill Phillips and the like. Some people need motivaters. In the game of life we have shakers, movers and doer's. The things that make us different are the things that make us unique. All of us have our strong points and our weak points. :lifting:

Some of us need someone to help and some don't. In the end there is probably a place for us all imho. :5:

You guys will have my full report on the Rich Cleaners Conference by end of next weekend.

I have sat here for 3 days straight to see what it was all about, and hanged out with Dusty Roberts & Jeff Cross mainly during the whole conference.
