I was taking the garbage out tonite - I have the kind that the truck picks up and nobody actualy gets out of or off the truck - and the **** thing smelled so bad I almost puked! "Ok sir - we can give that a quick deod and wash for $??? and get that smell out of your garage" - heck yes I would say! Fire up the TM - spray some cleaner/deod in it while cleaning carpets and give it a wash with a power washer wand off the TM. Why not?!!!

I had a lady ask my to clean her garbage can when I was done with her capets about a month ago, took me about 5 minutes and got a quick $30.

Ugh! I'd rather pick fly crap out of pepper.

I had to hook up a fifty foot hose to my dump hose due to a risky location. When I was finished dumping, I elevated the hose so that I could carefuly walk out the rest of the filthy water. However, the connector came loose between the two hoses and a bunch drained down into my face, neck, and back. The smell... ugh.

It was honestly like puking on a turd. I don't do well with smell.

Dang, can't you just buy a new one for that? Plus what chems did you spray on it. I've cleaned mine by soaking with Microban. I love that stuff.

OOhhhh, Ok. I have a friend that used to have a pressure washing company here. He landed a contract to clean these bad boys.

$75 for the outside, $150 to clean the bin/exterior. He'd do this twice a month, at those prices per each truck. The company was a locally owned company that had about 20 trucks.

He closed his business because he had to move to austin, but still comes down to houston to rent a pressure washer and clean the trucks. Good money.

I am talking strickly cans at customers houses - they get so bad they stink up the whole garage. I used to be a mechanic and worked on some garbage trucks - full of maggots and stink!

You are going to become pretty nasty inbetween jobs, want to remain as clean as possible

No Go for me, better for pressure wash company or landscapers people who already work outside

I tried that when I used to own a pressure cleaning service. It failed miserably. We called it the 'Can Man' service. We would follow the garbage pick up days and routs. We would come right behind the garbage truck and spray strait deodorizer from a shur-flow and rinse with the pressure washer (trailer mounted unit) turn the can upside down and do the next one. Spent about 3 mins on each. I would drive the truck and the tech would walk beside the trailer and spray the cans. I had a 250 gal fresh tank and a 100 chem tank with deodorizer in it. Would could do a whole neighborhood before refilling. We would do a whole neighborhood for free to introduce the service and leave a flyer on the can that said something to the effect of 'Your garage can has been completely cleaned and sanitized for FREE! Enjoy! Please call us to set up regular cleanings bla bla bla. Our return calls where only about 5% I think we charged $20 bucks per can and tried to establish monthly cleanings. The response was dismal. If a road has 50 homes on it only five signed up and they where spread apart then it was a pain to do. I think when I drooped the service we where doing about 100 cans in different neighborhoods. But at the end of the day when you total up the travel time, pay, ins. chems, time invested etc etc it just wasn't worth the money. And it was an add on to all the other services we offered. The pressure cleaning business is a thank less one. Much more so than cc. Hope this helps.
