    Thumbs up Package Pricing *CONTEST*

    I'm updating my cleaning service packages. I want to create the "perfect" package,names and services included. Let's formulate one together. I'll add pricing,services and names as we accumulate ideas. Let's see who can come up with the best. Winner gets a free case of pre spray or detergent. Ends April 15th.

    Too confusing Rob Try Standard, Deluxe, and Premier.

    1. Standard - Prevac, Prespray, Extraction.

    2. Deluxe - Same as above, plus Deodorizer

    3. Sam as #2 Plus Protector

    Then Break Down your prices as applicable for number of rooms, size, and degree of soiling.

    How about

    -Econo spray and suck, Traffic areas only
    (Those who are budget concious can pick this one but it appears substandard to higher end customers)

    -Standard prevac, pregroom, move furniture, spray, suck, groom, block/pad
    (The one most ppl will pick because they want a good job but money is still an object)

    -Deluxe Do it all, plus protector and and maybe a spot warranty and one of the "good" pens.
    (For all those that dont care about budget too much and want you to do all you can do!)

    Women do not think like men, I wouldn't ask any of us my friend! I would start asking the very customers that you serve, or better yet, ask your wife. My wife is a pretty smart lady and has helped me answer some of these questions.

    If you ask a guy... of course he's going to say " deluxe " or " Basic "

    If you ask a woman she will say something different, like, "Family Comfort Restorer Package"

    (or something like that)

    Just my 2 cents.

    I think you should include your super awesome standard of the Dry-N-Clean aspect..like
    Ultra Dry-n-Cleaned Premium "Basic"
    Exceptional Dry-n-Cleaned "medium"
    Superior Dry-N-Cleaned Master Suit "the money maker"

    I know they dont have basic, ok class, or the best class feel. but.. You notice this much.. it never once says you offer low class service and is always top of the line in any class of cleaning you do.
    but.. the extreme budgeted persons are just the same as commercial jobs.. cheap and done quick!! then you can say "were not supposed to give you this kinda price break, but" and they feel just as special as the lady buying the ultimate supreme class of clean.

    ultra, exceptional, superior{ dont know about this one}

    I do know how to weed it out, go to the supermarket and look at the words Procter & Gamble uses. You can leverage the billions of dollars in market research they do, why try and out think the professionals pretty safe to say they know consumers better then us.

    I like our standard 7 step ( this way when we are price shopped, the shopper will expect this from all cleaners.) and our 14 step premium cleaning package...They are on our web site www.thomascarpetcleaning.com if I knew how to cut and paste, I put the on here...
    We only have the two diffrent ones...maybe we should have 3??

    Honestly I personally don't like packaging pricing offering services that should be included anyway such as vacuum, prespray, agitate and rinse.

    Now if you wan to add things like spots included, protectors, deodorizers, moving furniture and so on then IMO that is fine.

    I like;

    Basic or Silver (No furniture no extra stain treatment other than prespray)

    Deluxe or Gold (Furniture moving and stains included)

    Premium or Platinum (Furniture moving, stains included, deodorizer and protector)

    This reminds me of that new commercial for old spice deodorant. It shows a few pictures and titles each picture. The first is called "fresh" second, "fresher" third, "freshest" and the last one that refers to their product is "fresherest" <--- yes that is a new word!!!

    Something I have done to some of the elder people or if I am not to busy: I go back the next day and remove all the blue tabs. That could be in your add on service or level 3. If you charge enough it could be well worth it.

    Calling the package exactly what it is will keep people from being confused and more willing to decide on the more costly one. IE:
    1. Steam Clean Package
    2. Deodorizer Package
    3. Stain Protector Package

    Simple and to the point. People can see through the fluff and can be turned off by it.

    I was also thinking of doing a 6 Step, 8 Step, 10 Step + Warranty

    All of which include, Pre inspection, Vacuum, treatment, clean, groom but the differences in the 8 step would be light furniture moving plus choice of scented deodarize and the 10 stepper to include all furniture(with the exception of big furniture i.e. cabinets, tv's), carpet protector on all rooms cleaned AND a 30 Day warranty on any and all stains.

    I've changed my business name to a "Green" and was thinking of packaging it as "Lime, Kiwi, Pine" but like already mentioned, people will just not want to read into it.

    So if I buy package three I dont get my carpets cleaned?? or deoderized, Ok i will buy all three then lol. just poking fun,, i know its more involved than that..

    We always do a full service cleaning. prevac.pretreat,clean,blowers and groom. but we always ask the customer. about the history, issues or concerns, then offer up-sale options, and educate about each potential benefit and the extra processes invovled. like moving furniture, pet urine issues, heavy blackened traffic patterns etc...

    I see where your coming from Rob but will it work? or Meet the Dynamics for your current clientel? My d-c class Customers will always choose the basic package No matter how I present to them.. Holy moly it stinks in here... you need to be De-funktified..
    But on Most of my upscale Customers The elite package thing works very well. like the above. And the upsale they bring up is the anti-allergen releif treatments, and the pet urine odor is a clue for us to recommend treatment. I have learned to get rid of the whole package thing all together. It does work with bigger cities just not southern Oregon. However up in Salem and Portland, They ask for the best package first well because they are employed or have life goals unlike this area. I have been amazed at the differance in peoples mannerisms, beleifs, and cleanliness lol. I guess its time to move. since there is only 9 to 12 cc's left in this area. My two locations 2 ss, 4 cds, 2 sm, 1/2 coit not listed anywhere but I know hes there lurking somewhere lol, a few other family owned. that are legit.
