What kind of matting should be used.

People will not normally stop and wipe their shoes. The matting should be long enough that they take at least two steps with each foot before getting off the end of the mat. That could be 12' to 15'.

Outside matting should be rough textured to remove snow and mud in most climates.

Inside matting should be eithe olefin (for price) or Nylon (for better appearance) with vinyl or rubber backing.
