Thumbs up New to the truck mount forum!

I have been reading threads on here for a few months now and figured I should probably introduce myself.
My name is Chad and my fiance Jen and I have been cleaning houses and some commercial properties for 7 years now. We recently invested in the Rotovac 360 paired with the Mytee 1003 DX. After doing a few jobs I think both machines are awesome. No problems or complaints with either.
I look forward to talking with everyone and learning as much as I can from the pro's. If anyone has any questions for me just ask! Thank you!

Welcome aboard Chad, look forward to picking you're brain on here lol!!

On the poll, I clicked other because....I think a vacuum booster would also be a cool next "tool" to help out with dry times.

This might sound stupid to most but like I said I'm new to this profession, what is a vacuum booster? I never heard of it. Sounds like it gives more suction. Could I get one for a Mytee 1003DX. It has (2) 3 stage vacs that run parallel on it already, which seems like enough to me. Do I need more? I make lots of dry passes only until I don't see any more water coming up the tube and the carpets dry in 6-24 hrs. Haven't had a complaint on drying times yet. Thanks for the advice.

First of all, welcome to TMF it is a great forum full of cleaners willing to help fellow cleaners out. As far as the vacuum booster goes I think you don't need it, when I started cleaning carpets I used to use a MyTee and had plenty of suction and never had complaints about my dry times. So I would suggest you invest in something more important like a vacuum.

Greetings, Chad. Welcome to the TMF site. In the heat of the summer I would love to be in PA, somewhere up the cool Allegheny forest.

Since we don't know what tools you have know or what kind of work you want to do, it is hard to give advice on the next tool to buy. However, I think every cleaner needs a good professional vacuum cleaner if they don't have one already. An important basic of the cleaning trade and part of the image of a pro.

Its funny that I said no problems or complaints with my equipment yet, Because just a little while ago got the brand new mytee 1003dx out to scrub my grout and tile in my kitchen.
Got everything hooked up , primed my pump and looked down and water was everywhere. Sucked all the fresh water out with the vac hose , emptied out the recovery tank and opened it up. The 4"or 5"hose that connects the 2 1000W heater together broke apart at the crimp. Someone didn't crimp it right at Mytee. Boy was I bumming., It's like a puzzle in there. Mytee said they were overnighting me the part because I told them I had 2 different jobs in the next 4 days. Or else drive 2 hrs. to the nearest service center. But I'm Pretty sure I can fix it, I already got the old one off.
Gotta look at the positives though. Good thing it broke at my house and not my customers. They would have been embarrassing.

Way to have a positive attitude!! Make sure you maintain your equipment always. We always take our machine out of the van and give it a good once over and make sure everything is tight and very clean. Doing this will ensure you have a nice running machine for a long time!

Since you have so many you probably know whats good and whats not. I was looking at the dri-eaz, the one that blows the air down in 360 degrees, it looked like it would work good. What do you think about that or any others?

Hey Chad and Jen, welcome to the forum. You will enjoy the siteand you'll get a lot of great information. Also, I have to agree with Scott. A vacuum is very important along with a air mover. Good luck!!!
