I used to wear nice-looking leather shoes while cleaning. One day I knelt down on wet carpet to do a quick repair and left a brown spot on the carpet, and it was tough to get out. Now it's boating shoes with no laces for easy removal. I do quotes in socks--I do carry shoe covers, but they're a pain to put on over size 13 shoes.

You are right about the doc martins lasting forever. They make good stuff.

I spend about 50.00 on a pair of black air monarch's nike's from shopko there the only shoe that i have found that is comfortable to stand in all day.I think that white shoe's get dirty to guick.I wear navy blue polo and navt blue comfort waste dickies.

I find if I spray my shoes with a good solvent protector they stay looking new for a long time. I wear very nice shoes into homes so I want them to look as good as they can. Women notice footwear more than us guys realise. Many times we can be judged on our footwear.

I keep a pair of rubber laced mocs from Cabela's for WDs. They finally cracked so I'll be pitching them soon. I sometimes accidentally spray my right foot with the Hydroforce causing my Nike Air Alvord 7 to bleedblack dye.
