I just got back yesterday from spending a couple of days with Rob and crew. I am a total newbie just looking to get into this business, so my comments come from that perspective.
I only had about 2 days to spend there so we really just focused on getting out in the field and cleaning some stuff. I got to see (and do) upholstery, carpets (not so bad and really bad, including burber), red stains, pet urine, etc., and most importantly gained the confidence to walk in, great the customer, and get to work.
I learned how to operate a TM, push a wand (hey, there's more technique to it than I thought), and generally make the customer happy. I was cleaning my first rug and just about killing myself doing it when Will came in and said "no, no, no, that's not how you do it". He then showed me how I had been fighting the wand instead if letting it do the work and gave me some technique pointers. I told him that the entire trip was worth that right there.
I also learned what chemicals to use in which situations. We cleaned one townhouse that must have had at least 50 urine stains, maybe even 100. You almost couldn't step without hitting one.
I also talked a little bit about websites and Search Engine Optimization with Tre.
It may sound really basic to a lot of you, but I am really glad I took the time to do it and really thankful to Rob and his team for all of their help!

That's one heck of a deal!
And a once in a lifetime opportunity!
If I lived closer, I would jump at this chance.
Carpet Cleaning Service

It looks like Dale made the trip from Arizona. New York is not nearly that far from Virginai Beach. Maybe 1/2 days drive depedning on waht part of the state you are in and if you can avoid rush around around the DC area. That's one heck of a deal!

For over 18 years I have been involved with teaching. The programme, while NOT carpet cleaning related is valued at $1200.00
After dealing with thousands of people I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that the ones who paid appreciated it WAY more. 90% of the thousands of people who got it for free did NOT appreciate it.
It’s important to note:
My experienced is based on 18+ years and about 6000 people, so it is what it is.

I have worked with service businesses, and I will tell you $495.00 is
VERY RESONABLE, take them up on this program, I got paid ALOT more
than that for probably alot less work on my part. I worked mostly on
restructuring someones business.
All The Best, Rob

I am very interested in doing this mentor program. I am looking to start up my own cleaning business and I plan on being the owner/operator only. I don't want any employees yet..Anyway, what do I need to do now? Can we talk?

In the past I have used Stanley you-know-who ... they arrived on time, treated my antiques with respect; when replacing the furniture they put down little pads that were easily removed the next day; the carpet was clean, fresh and ready for a dinner party within six hours. There are other companies that use the same system, I would ask friends and neighbors for referrals or ask the company for references from recent customers. Look for a company that has been around for a few years. Make sure the company is insured for any damages to your property. Also, ask if their workers are bonded and experienced. Carpet Cleaners.

Rob,
Fantastic idea. What a way to give back to the industry. I wish there was an opportunity like this when i was in the cleaning business. Gotta tell you guy's. If you know Rob well enough to trust him, it would be to your benefit to jump on this offer. Not many guy's would take the time and effort to do this. If your new to the business, you especially need to do this. 8-900.00 dollars is nothing compared to what you can learn by OJT. Find the money some how and take Rob up on this offer. Make him show you what he's made of. HaHa!

When is the next program being held?

This may not be feasable, but if you could offer IICRC CCT (carpet cleaning tech) certification it would add tremendous value to this program. It is already a great value but certification would be a definate plus.

I think this is a great offer. I remember when I was doing Real Estate Investments there was a guy who taught me everything over 3-4 days. He then started teaching classes, you should make it open to 4 people every few months. Would help us newbies out and give you another source of income. A WIN WIN in my book.

Rob,
This is something that I might be interested in. How do we find out what dates are avalible?
