Hello from Cleveland

Hi everyone. I enjoy reading your forum, so I finally decided to join. We are a family owned and operated business, started by my dad, in 1959. We were one of the first operations to use truck mount units. We have 25 employees, mostly family members. Our average employee has been with us for 25 years. Some even more. Besides doing wall to wall carpet, furniture and tile, we specialize in area rug cleaning. We have a Rollajet machine. From what I've seen and read, there aren't too many of them around. It does a fantastic job. Along with that, we have a state-of-the-art drying room for the rugs.
I am part of the new generation that will be running our company when our fathers retire. I am the only female. My cousins, Alan, Clifford and Donald, are on the road doing wall to wall. Eventually, they will all be "inside", but for now we need them out there! At one time, we ran 12 truck mounts. Right now, we are running 7.
It's interesting to read what other people in our line of work are doing and to see what works and does not work for them - everyone here seems very well informed and friendly... I'm glad I've found these forums!

Arslanian is one of the most experienced and respected names in rug cleaning. They were getting started when I was growing up not far from Cleveland.
