New to TMF

Hey, my name is Terry and I have been in the business for 8 years now. I have worked for Stanley Steemer all 8 years. I was reading some of the threads and I felt compelled to join. I gotta represent Stanley Steemer as i have seen alot of negative feedback directed towards SS. I have a question.... Does SS use presprays to treat the carpet before cleaning or do you just go to it with the wand?

I had heard they do not use them and was just interested in hearing it from one of their techs.

Thank you Jason......Actually it is not required of us to prespray, but the ones of of that actually do care to provide a quality job, do prespray. I prespray probably at 90% of the homes I service. I find it serves multiple purposes. Of course it helps with the cleaning and since SS wands average somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 to 13 pounds(6 jet beast, made of mostly stainless steel and some aluminum), I find prespraying helps our wands glide much easier across most carpets. I know it helped my back and shoulder today. Cleaned a 6,100 sq ft commercial building today. It's odd to me, I am 32 years old and some days, due most in part to this job, I feel like 62 when I get up in the morning...lol
