    Auto pump out?

I have a spit fire 3.2 hydramaster truckmount. I dont know the exact specs of the recovery tank but its not big enough....lol Now i was wondering if there is a hook up for the auto pump out on the machine somewhere, and how it works. Because there is a "auto pump out" switch on the front. I am new so any help would be greatly apreaciated.

Chris Sheldon or Nick Nellos can probably answer that for you. I would take a look at the recovery tank and see if there are any hoses that run from it and follow them to see where they go. If you are refering to wireing, this is where a wiring diagram comes into play. Or try and trace the wires from the switch and see where they go. It should go to a connector for hook-up.

They all have switches for an auto pump out. They're pre- wired for it. But the AutoPump is an option- not standard on all systems.

Chances are that all you have is a switch- nothing connected to it. If there's nothing in the tank that looks like a pump, and nothing outside of the tank that looks like an "extra box" or something of the sort, then you don't have one.

You can add one or either buy a new larger waste tank for about the same amount as adding a pump out. I have never really had a need for one other than with water damage. 70+ gallons is a good size and it will out last the machine. A pump out could die next year and your out 1K.

Wouldnt adding a bigger tank create a loss of vaccum due to increasing the size of the recovery tank?
