Question New 421 with water problem

I've done 2 jobs with my brand new Boxxer 421. Worked awesome! Today I wanted to test my SX-12 and Gekko on my tile. After setting up, no water comes thru the solution lines.
I have pressure on the gauge and at the outlet on front of the machine. Could my new hoses be clogged?
I put my carpet wand on and the same happened.

It's under warranty and I'll call the supplier tomorrow; just wondered if you had any ideas? Also, yes the switches were on. (pump in, pump clutch, & diverter valve)

Nick could be right. But I would also take off the QD at the end and see if water flows through the line. Doing this will also clear the line of any debris that might be stuck.

    Will do.
Also, can we find quick connects that work from sources other than carpet cleaning suppliers?
Probably a stupid question. I'd have to drive 2 hrs away if I needed new ones right away.

Most likely, it is the quick disconnects. And the most likely place is on the hose reel. What often happens is that the ring on the female will twist and allow the male to come slightly loose, but still appear to be connected. If that's the case, all you'll need to do is push them back together. Of course, you'll need to relieve the pressure in the hose closest to the system first...

Duanes right Ive noticed that lately some QD's require a little extra force applied together. Post click or after the click.
This never use to be a problem.

Hydramaster also uses a check valve that sits behind the outlet QD, I have seen these cause problems in the past.

Especially carry extra's on high heat jobs. Everytime I use Kero I change QD's; Guaranteed if I did those little purple brass parts wouldn't work!!!

Also have you noticed if ball valves were installed on solution hoses and valve was closed during wrap up.

    Thumbs up

Problem solved? Thanks for the QD advice.
I tested each hose individually and they worked; then did 2 at a time; seems to have been the connections.
