    Hydramaster Hydra-Cat S-Model - Won't Start!!!!

    I've been running nearly everyday. Although I'm no mechanic, I've been treating my system as stated by the manuel, e.t., oil changes, lubrication, etc.

    I went out to start my Hydra-Cat. I'll pull the choke and turn the key. The ignition turns strong. However, I can't get the **** thing to full start. What should I check for?

    Please, speak in lamens terms.

    Thought I had fixed it with a new battery.

    Hooked up new battery last night, cranked the started for a few about 5 seconds and it fired up. LOAD off my mind.

    However, I woke up this morning only to be left with the same **** problem. If I turn the starter, the engine will just turn and turn. It will not fire up.

    I can smell the fuel after a lil' while. I changed the fuses and spark plugs. Still nothing. My dump tank valve is down.

    Argh.

    What engine? Onan 20 hp CCKB? or something else.

    Two things come to mind.
    First unhook the float switch in the waste tank. It might have gone bad. (The tank is empty right?)
    Second, change the points and condenser if it is the CCKB.
    Where in NY are you. I have owned three of these.
