Water damge ? using my 4.0 Spitfire

Hey guys, I have done a couple of water damage jobs using the 4.0 and have a couple of questions. When just using the vacuum, do I still have to hook up the water hoses, etc? I tried it with water, then re-circulating from outlet-back to the water box and the water was way hot and my gauge was pegged and 280!!! Am I doing something wrong, or do I need to service my TM? Thanks

Re: Water damge ? using my 4.0 Spitfire

I have a Chem Tex and hook a bleeder hose (a 3 ft long water hose cut to allow water to run), I turn the water pressure all the way down and only open the water valve at the house part way. This allow the water to drain into the street and keeps my TM from over heating.
