cat pump 290

I have a hydramaster hydracat, the pump which is a cat pump 290 lost all presure. The manifold cracked last winter, i replaced it with an old 290 i had and put in new rings and cups, the cups ripped, so i believe the old manifold might be off a little. I was wondering if anyone knows of another type of pump that i could try, these cat pumps are expensive. Maybe a hypro or dayton, only problem is i dont know which type or model would work, and if i could use the same clutch i have on the 290. Any input would be appreciated.

My suggestion would be to get a new pump with high temp seals at a pressure washing shop. They can match you up with a new pump. If I'm not mistaken the 290 is a piston pump. You should go with a plunger pump. Now is the time to make the change into plunger pump type. I'm not a fan of Hypro at all. I have had many of them and they just dont compare to Cat pumps at all. You get what you pay for when you buy Cat.
