    Re: solution overheating

Shane why did you need a new blower? Maybe there was an over heating issue before and caused the blower to go bad. Most blowers last 10+ years and if they fail are easy to rebuild. If it was not related then more than likely your repairman did something wrong. Have you called Hydramaster's 1 800 number yet?

    Re: solution overheating

we had the blower replaced several months ago and recently had the equipment moved onto our new water truck and serviced i know the heat exchanger was really dirty any way the old blower went bad shortly after i started here due to poor care. the bearings on the drive side were eaten up due to water getting into the breather plug on top. the water box float was not working and over filled letting water pool up on the blower!! any way i think my problem has to due with somethng else i am not a mechanic so i will have to take it to my dealer i guess!!!!

It doesn't take a mechanic to wipe down a machine at the end of the day or nite but 10 minutes. The other guy was right, a blower can last decades if properly looked after. And then again, some do not. Its been my experience the ones that 'fry' are usually due to neglect. Wipe down your machine routinely just for 10 minutes and watch your investment costs diminish dramatically!!

Sorry, to Mr. Rob Allen as "the other guy". I'm new at this type of communication. I meant no dis-respect.
