Clogged heat exchanger for HD 4.7 CDS is it repairablr?

I have severaly clogged heat exchangers. Will the ends come off so I can rod them out? I got a price of $800 each to repace. If I need to replace them are they really $800 each?

I have one that is plugged also. The problem stems from the machine diverter valve malfunctioning and causing too much pressure. yes the ends can be removed (I have done it several times) however rodding would be tough because the internal tubes are flat. you would need a special tool to rod them out.

if the coils are plugged you can use muratic acid CAUTION>> it can ruin them if there are copper stainless steel it wont bother them at all. or a safer overnight method Use hotsy boiler improver. I had the same issue with propane lil giant coils I had to use draino the coils are pretty now lol. but I was willing to risk it. had to use pressure washer to drill into the sludge also you need to run vinegar through your system to rid of any formations like that It in the diverter valve

My father owned a radiator shop in the past so this is something that was easy for me. Use a torch with a #2 tip. The he's are soldered together with silver solder. As you heat it and the solder melts use an air nozzle to blow the solder away from the joint. Time consuming and it will take a bit to get hot because the brass will dissipate the heat. To put back together use silver solder and braze it back together.
