    Re: Tile Cleaner

Well, I've used viper venom and cobbs powermax and
they both worked well for me. Everyone has a different
spin on the chemical they use. Talk with Scott from interlink
and he will put you in the right direction for chemicals. He's been
    very good with me.

Shorebest 2790 is the best T&G cleaner out there. Really don't waste time with the viper stuff, doesn't even come close by a long shot. www.shorebest.com/sb-2790-con-d-soil.htm

    Re: Tile Cleaner

The answer will depend upon the types of soil you or stains you need to remove and the type of tile surface you are cleaning.

However, Viper Venom works excellent on many types of soil, especially greasy food and tracked in soils. A lot of cleaners agree becuase Viper Venom sells thousands of gallons to repeat customers.

Grime B Gone, Prochem T&G, TOG and Anvil are my "go-to" products. They have never let me down.

    Re: Tile Cleaner

I second what Gary said, I am a recent Shorebest 2790 convert, it's the real deal! Best degreaser/ tile and stone cleaner I have tried so far and I have tried most of what has been mentioned here.

    Re: Tile Cleaner

Matt, about the 2790 I would be careful with it or use a milder product like Stone Tech of dilute the 2790 down quite a bit if you are using it on any king of polished or highly honed marble, travertine or limestone or it may slightly dull it. I meant to come back and clarify that, the exception would be on stone that you are going to refinish anyway if you do that kind of thing. For example I just finished up a limestone floor that had mop and glow or something similar on it and it was in pretty funky shape so I first used 2790 at 12 oz per gallon on it to clean and then honed it with diamond pads and powder polished it. The strongest I have used 2790 is 16 oz per gallon, if you are gonna use it on stone maybe try 6 oz per gal in an inconspicous area and see if it damages it, unless you're gonna restore it anyway or use and alterante product.

    Re: Tile Cleaner

I would not use the 2790 on a polished stone as Daron mentioned. I have also had some adverse effects on trav during testing in my shop. I like TOG Stone Prep for most of my stone cleaning. Really, stay away from the viper stuff. It is not worth the bottle it is in. Have to mix it 2:1 to even approach 2790 at 8:1(and even then it is not close), and it has to dwell too long. Too expensive in time and material for me, but some people have to push it cause that is how they get paid.

    Re: Tile Cleaner

After you spray the tile with chemical, do you also run some chemical while using the spinner?

No, water only, you are using so much water already.
I would agitate the grout a little either by hand or with a buffer, work it in a little bit

I love Oxy-Blaster from Magic Wand Company...

    http://www.magicwandcompany.com/product_p/oxyblast.htm
and I find it to be great for all kinds of Tile and Stone care. I follow up with Dynachem Impregnating Sealer

    http://ccs5.com/zen/index.php?main_p...oducts_id=1215

which has the best price of any Flouropolymer sealer I have found to date.
