I moved most items. Occassionally cleaned up to a big entertainment center by hand instead of moving it.

this is something (wood floor cleaning) that i keep looking at and looking at and looking at... I even say I offer it, but I dont really go after it, mostly because I am a little scared of it... I have watched and watched the video from brigepoint and the laminate plus... still a little scared, but dont really think it would be that hard to do... and looks pretty safe... anyone else holding back from this?

Yes. It worries me a bit.

But I did give an estimate today for cleaning and finishing 800 sf, and I may end up getting the job.. If so I'll have to scramble to figure it out so I'm confident going into it.

I usually don't move furniture, I require the homeowner to have the room empty upon arrival. I have helped, at times, if the custy is older and doesn't have anyone to help them.

Davey, you can get my number off of my website and I will help you as much as I can, if you get that job.

    Leofry,

The only thing I haven't moved is a refrigerator. Even that has to be qualified with the customer, situation and location. evertyhing else should go.
Have you considered trying this at home or at a relatives house for free to get some field training? Depending on the type of finish used, it can be costly to have it removed if it is applied wrong. Bubbles, lap marks, etc.
Not trying to scare you, because it is a good service to offer. Only trying to save you some money and aggravation.

I always clear the cleaning area before cleaning and for best results of floor cleaning you should clear the cleaning area and clean it by using the best cleaning method. If you don’t clear the area like where your furniture arrives I think it is impossible that you clean properly your floor.

    Best Regards,
