Let's talk about Hydramaster Truck Mount Company

Hydramaster claims to have the # 1 spot in truck mount carpet cleaning system sales in the world. They say they have taken over Prochem as the world leader in truck mount sales. They sell a lot of accessories and have there own chemical line. At Connections they had an impressive line up of truck mounts, accessories and chemicals.

So who owns a Hydramaster here? Anyone a regular user of there chemicals? How about there accessories like the RX-20, Rotary Dri-Master and new Evolution wands. They even have an impressive portable cleaning machine line up. So what are your thoughts on this company and it's products?

just got the 875 it heats to 250 in minutes with the heat selected to low and at mid speed.. I got the 16 in evolution wand and read some reviews that it does not spray to the edge, but it does, i adjusted the spray bar up about 1/4 inch and it covers all the way to the end. I got the auto pump out have not used it yet.

I have the dri-master upholstery tool, use it regularly with my portable and love it. Let a buddy use it with his TM and he loved it as well and it seemed to work just as good with either unit so that's a plus. Only downside is you have to go direct to Hydramaster or distributor for parts, even though it looks like standized plumbing it all seems to be proprietery and in some instances you can't just get a piece you have to get a section of pieces as that is the only way it will come, so you do end up with duplicate pieces after awhile just for one valve assembly etc. Wouldn't do without though.

I have the boxer 318 and I love it. I haven't had any problems with it yet! Their FI are really nice people to work with. They let you know within hours how they can help you. Neif was great with me. Also I bought it at Jon Don and they were very good to deal with also.

Hydra-Master and US Products were purchased by Nil-Fisk Corporation about a year or so back. With the increased financial backing of the larger corporation it comes as no surprise to me that they have risen to the top in terms of either dollar sales or unit sales. It is a trend. The bigger corporations out there are buying up the smaller players. It is a fact of life. Get big or be taken over or put out of business by the stronger players. In the next 5 years I expect only 3 of the larger TM makers to be left. Rationalizion in this industry is not finished yet.

Hmmm? I can't help but wonder if this thread is some sort of R&D or information gathering process for Hydramaster.

I don't own one of their truckmounts, but I would buy one. I've used several CDS machines in the past with no prob. The driMaster technology is really cool. I haven't heard their claims about being the biggest, but I think they are one of the best as far as mainstream truckmount manufacturers go.

Don't use any of their chemical except for Gum Gel, which I love.

Boxxer 421, LM Uph tool and RX 20.

Physics: water down/water up clean carpet.

They are a biotch to work on and CS sucked when I tired to communicate w/them.

But all of the gear listed above works well enough.

Try changing the belt on the 421.

Duane or Nick will get my money if I ever get another TM.

HM 4.8 CDS here. Still have an '87 HM CDS HydraVan 4.0. They both work great. Hydramaster Chemicals seem to work pretty well also from the few I've used.

I have the Titan, first truckmount I've owned so I have nothing to compare it to. The chemicals are good if you can get them. I really like the knock out but, can't get hold of it and it's the same with the grease breaker. Not sure whether it's a problem with the main supplier over here or it's hydramaster. One thing for sure though they are losing clients as it forces us to look elsewhere for our products. Tried a couple of prochem cleaning products I don't like the heavy duty fabric one it just seems to soap up and nothing else.

I have a Hydramaster Hydracat, but it's pretty old so it doesn't count as current. I also have an RX20 which is fantastic. If their older stuff is any indication of their current quality, then I'd buy more from them. They are definitely on my short list of manufacturers to look at when buying stuff.

here is a short video i took of the titan today. It heated to 250 in minutes with it set on med speed (2400 rpm) and heat to high. I have a prochem 4 jet with a flow of 6 keyed @ 350 psi for four minutes it drops to 240 and holds it

As many of you know I'm a big time Hydramaster guy, I think probably because they are (or were kinda) a local company to me.

I've got 3 Boxxer 421's and a 427. I love em, wouldn't have any other machine except maybe a Titan. They have been absolute work horses, and even the techs can't destroy them. All have around 4000 hours with almost NO problems what so ever. I use some of their chems, but my favorite is the Clear Water Rinse.

Hydramaster is top notch in my books.
