    Vacuum Hose Suggestions Please!!!

I have a TM and am currently using the blue 2.0'' vacuum hose from interlink. Its stiff and has no play whats so ever. It doesn't bend or move with me as I clean. Its a pain getting it into and out of customers homes because its not very flexible. Will it loosen up over time or do I need to try another type of hose, because its killing my setup time.

Those hoses will loosen up with time and use so dont worry too much, it's just because it's brand new. Keep using the same 50ft length for your lead hose to loosen it up as your "whip" hose.

Another option is to use a 25ft "whip hose" inside the house of 1 1/2".

There are other brands of hose that are more flexible, but its a tradeoff as they are not as strong and can collapse or break easier too.

I am still breaking in a section of new hose, so I can understand what you are saying. I broke down and sometimes use a 12ft 1.5 inch whip hose to give my body some relief.

I like a stiff vac hose because you can kick it around and it actually goes where you want it to go. The super flexible stuff drives me crazy because it's like a piece of limp broccoli and it stretches way too much and gets caught on corners and door jambs and stuff.

I've used both and I prefer the flexible, especially for residential work.

    Yes, Ed.

Actually guys, I do get my 2" vac hose from Ed Valentine at Cross American. I really like the CA flexible hose. It is resilient, smooth bore, easy to work with, and lightweight but durable. I use it for my TM and for my Recoils. No need for a 1.5 inch leader; go 2" to the wand.

I was doubtful at first because it is so lightweight, but after I got used to it I much prefer it to other hose.

Use a whip until it's broken in then go straight through. Or go with the flexible stuff, but some will kink if you're not careful.

For smooth bore, super flexible, tons of colors and the best price go to:

    www.windtrax.com

They sell parts and supplies for carwashes and have many items that are good for carpet cleaners.

SuperFlex Vac hose is my favorite.

    It has greater flexibility,

    along with top durability.

I am nearly a windtrax.com groupie. I buy so much from them(goodyear hose, cat pump parts, stainless fittings, stainless hardware) however the hose they sell is not suitable for carpet cleaning. The stuff will calapse and kink like crazy. the stuff they sell is made for car wash vacuums. It was not designed for carpet cleaning. Good price and good product especially for flexibility is from Joe Bristol.
