    Am I missing Something

I was watching this video on you tube. My question is where does all the dirt from the carpet go. Is there another step that they are not showing. If this is a good way of cleaning a large area.

If they are using encapsulation, then they vacuum it up after it's dry.

    xerion is not encap.
the dirt goes onto the pad.
their juice is more of a degreaser/shampoo.
the owner told me it is not a true encap.

From what I understand, Xerion is more like bonnet cleaning than true encapping. With that being said, the surface dirt is being absorbed into the pad. It's another interim method of cleaning.

Would this work on heavily soiled carpet. If so I would cut my big area jobs by an 8th of the time. Very interested if someone can fill me in if this works. Thanks.

Encap cleaning with a pad or bonnet can provide superior results vs HWE.

Just did a $1100 account last week and I have several monthly accounts that I encap.

Some are very, very heavily soiled.

The friction from the pad cleans better than HWE with no wicking, hoses, noise and faster drying.

    Quite a USP!

Call Ricky G at release it and start making $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I have to respectfully disagree with you here.

All of the major carpet manufactures as well as the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) recommend HWE over any type of cleaning method. Now I know that there are different situations but on a trashed or heavily soiled carpet the only thing I would use bonnet for is to agitate my prespray followed by HWE!

To answer your question Daniel I would say NO. This method is only good as a interim cleaning not a restoration first time cleaning. Meaning once a year or even twice a year use HWE and try to sell your commercial accounts on getting interim cleanings with bonnet or encap monthly or quarterly in between HWE cleanings. At a lower cost of course.

You also have to consider the size of the job.... Now in a large open area these machines are easy to operate but if you get in a cramped area like under a desk watch out. These machines can do some major damage to objects other than carpet!

I totally I agree with both guys, even if you encap, you are not extracting out the dust, dirt etc, you still have it there but covered.
for me make sense to take out, anyway there is not a really powerful vacuum that can extract at the same way of a really high performance portable even worst a TM.

YOU's have been rope-a-doped into believing that encap takes care of the dirt and all you have to do is vacuum afterward using a cimax. Wrong. While encaping is a good interim method that simply displaces the dirt and somehow causes the reflection of the carpet to appear clean, you get better results doing exactly what the video has demonstrated using a pad + rotary - CLEAN CARPET.

Also, after hwe, if you use a rotary with a pad, you pick-up additional soil and hinder wick back.
    Many guys just don't know.

I pad /encap the factory offices that make crunch & munch and other well known carmel corn related products.

It is very soiled with the carmel. More soiled than a restaurant.
They have had it hwe and they were never happy with the results as it would wick.

With the encap/bonnett they have never seen it look cleaner.

    Think of it as this.

When you go to the car wash and blast your car. The soil still doesn't come off until you simply wipe it.

A carwash has far more pressure that you can use cleaning a carpet. Yet, it still won't even clean a smooth surface.

It's the friction and contact that makes all the difference.

Also, commercial carpet is resistant to water. Any water left in the carpet will be pulled to the back of the carpet with gravity and wick to the surface when dry.

You can argue till your blue in the face as to which method is better.

But, the fact is my commercial clients are far happier than they were with hwe. The carpets look great and the USP separates my company from the pack so I get the jobs.

Thats what I was thinking .If this was such a faster easier cheaper way of cleaning why would anybody buy a truck mount or portable. But hey I have been known to be proven wrong. For now I think I will stick with works for me and my customers. Thanks for all the replies.

I know a cleaner that has several Vortex's.

Yet when it comes to commercial carpet cleaning he parks the over 1/4 million in hwe equipment he has and pulls out the Cimex.

Not one type of equipment is right for every circumstance. There are tons of cleaners that don't use a truck mount or portable.

    Different strokes for different folks.

In fact, being different is one of the best ways to make more money.

I have encapped with the low profile bonnets that have the green scrub strips on them. Both Tuway and Etc. make good ones.
