Pick this rug up from a customer and I'm concerned how I should clean and price it. It's got a straw texture to it. So I don't want to damage it and not sure how to clean or price.

I wouldnt touch it with a 10ft pole. Sisal and straw type rugs do not respond well to hot water extraction. Its the only type of rug we will turn away. its your call.

Get it wet and you WILL spend hours getting water marks out... Wouldn't touch it...

Identify the fiber with a burn test. If it is a natural fiber, you will want to clean it with Host powder. Another alternative is to clean it like natural upholstery if you can get it all evenly dampened with the prespray, the evenly rinse and dried. The problem will come if one area is wet and another is dry, you will form a water mark.
There are some synthetics that simply look like Sisal or other natural fibers. They clean easily with your favorite prespray.
So ID the fiber.
