Forums that hate and lie?

Man last week while TMF was down for upgrades a few hours I was lost. So I started looking around and found another couple boards. They we're old fashioned looking and ugly but I didn't care, I just want carpet cleaning information. Boy was I disappointed. One board M*****B**** I saw posts about some of the friends i have made here. man I couldn't believe my eyes. They sounded like high school kids using curse words and saying crap about people that have helped me a ton. I said to myself how unprofessional and childish. Well so I figured I would look around a little more and then I ran into a frickin' shocker. I came to a place called green chat or something like that. I started asking how to get around the site. One guy spoke up and helped me, his screen name was mark Cermak, anyone know him? So I asked him what he thought of truckmountforums? he said I never heard of them, I about fell out of my chair. I have seen the connections pictures Tre posted last year and I saw a picture of Tre with this guy. So I said how can he straight face lie like that to me. I decided then and there to NEVER go back to that place. Now I ain't saying I hate no one but I got NO TIME to mess with such lying foolishness when I'm trying to just clean carpets and feed my family. TMF I LOVE you guys. You have really helped my company and my income. I'd be lost without you.
I just want to say thanks because I know it must take a lot of money and time to run this place.

Brian those are my sentiments exactly. I will also say that I have seen similar conduct on the ICS bb and considering it is run by a respected industry publication is even more unbeleivable. The last time I visited there I saw some very negative things about Tre, that was a while back and don't relly care to go there again. I had a post deleted once because I expressed my beleif in God and got a email from Evan telling me that that sort of posting would not be allowed, yet he allows the school yard behavior to continue, go figure.

That is why I like this site so much professionals acting professional. Don't get me wrong a little good natured fun is great but the name calling and animosity I have no use for.

I agree Brian. There is no place on the web like TMF! I think one thing that sets TMF apart is the freindliness and helpfullness of everyone around here. Tre, Rob, and Mick have worked hard to make this a great place for all of us to enjoy. In a sense, it has become a "Facebook" of the carpet cleaning industry.

I know that I would be lost without having my daily dose of TMF.

Great words Brian!! I too am lost when TMF is down. I find myself spending more money on ebay and craigslist when the site is down.

If it was not for Rob, Tre, and Mick...we probably would have never got started in the business. Even though we have about 3-4 months in the trade, I am far more advanced on chemicals, tricks and equipment than a lot of others in my area.

I hear ya.....The infantile crap that goes on at most sites totally negates any info I could glean from them. Gotta admit I still peek in occasionally, but have no desire to input any real info...

The guys here have done a good job and hopefully it will continue without breaking down into the "mine is bigger than yours" syndrome so prevelent amongst the others...

I don't know the story behind the hatred and honestly, I don't want to know. For the most part there is a very good vibe on this site. I have looked at a couple of others but stopped looking once I found this one. I hope this place never changes.

On this site it seemed like I was included from the beginning. My stupid questions are answered and I don't get ridiculed for being new.

I agree with you guys. I have only found this site recently, but it is a GREAT forum that is consistently professional, friendly and helpful. I have checked out a lot of CC sites but my two favorites are TMF and the All Things Recoil site.

I'm not in the business...Thinking about it when/if I lose my job....sure I know you think I'm nuts.

Anyhow I posted on the board mentioned earlier about getting started inthe business and the guys ripped me a new one...called me names etc. No time for that....this is a good site!

The only other site worth going to is Pro Cleaners Network.

Don't wait. If I were you I'd get started part time, until you can support yourself on it keep the other job. I mean that is just a job, this is a career path. It will change your life. And what other industry are you gonna be able to start a business and find a community like this. No where.... Do it, I know I will help you in anyway possible

Although I visit all boards; I tend to stay nuetral in these matters. I do like to see fairness and equal shakes on all behalfs. I have noticed that I see more arguements steaming between boards lately; but IMHO these boards are ment and should be for all our benefits to exchange information and become closer as a profession.

When I was an NCO in the Navy; I joined the NCOA to further my career and help my Ship Mates out as much as I could.

I still believe that C/C's as a community are a great bunch all around.

Rickie did you clean carpets in the Navy..? Just wondering you have 26yrs plus in business.. How old are you?

Lets say you went in the Navy at 18 and retired at 39 = 21 yrs Navy..

And if you didnt clean in the Navy then 39 (retired) +26 (cleaning)=65yrs old..

Whats the deal here.
