Have you ever read the Shaw carpet warranty?
If not - take a look at page 10-11 of this one:
SHAW CARPET CARE WARRANTY
Must be IICRC certified, use hot water extraction, use SOA products and machines...and look at ALL of the EXCLUSIONS... I love the one about hot liquids voiding the warranty (hmmm...as hot as HWE?) and using protector voiding it.
What really is the point - EXCEPT to try to avoid paying out any claim at all, or to try to force cleaners to jump their hoops... even though the incidents of residential cleaners WRECKING carpet is slim... a consumer has a better chance of damaging it with the SOA rental machine from their grocery store than any professional.
Can't seem to get anyone from CRI to make a statement on these issues "officially"...yet again, no dialogue with the professional cleaners who CARE for their goods... same old song and dance...
