The jets are the same per Mike at Rotovac.. Its the design makes it work better and less chance of damage hitting objects to the head..

Lucky for me I just started carpet cleaning, my 360i came standard with the swoop head!

I have the swoops on my new 360i and can't imagine them not being ramped. They ride over tack strips on thin carpet with a nice little warning chatter. And, occasionaly I might get a hair too close to tile transitions and catch a little tile but so far no damage or even rub marks. Also, Rotovac redesigned them to pick up more water, I think that's where the 'swoop' thing came from.

I'm a happy camper!

No the old version still does work well, improvements where made few months ago for even better dry times and design for less damage if you hit something like a tack strip as Tommy stated.
