    Cobb Powermax Users

    I've been testing out Powermax prespray from Cobb. As a cleaner, it's VERY impressive! However, I've noticed that the carpet feels like there is a residue once it's cleaned. I'm using a steamin demon and was hoping the high flow rinse would solve this.

    Does anyone else notice a residue with this prespray? Is this stuff better left for trashed commercial carpet?

    One question, what dilution ratio are you using?

    Yes, i noticed that at 8 ounces per gallon, but at 6 ounces is better. I think the residue is from the citrus, and really the citrus in my opinions is no necessary in this type of pre spray, i would suggest more enzyme and some emulsifier instead of the citrus.

    Philip;

    What type of water hardness do you have in your town ?

    I would think the Demon should do an adequate rinse, if the water is at least 130-140° F.

    You can generally use 6oz./gallon for normal cleaning jobs.

    We do have powder presprays that do have a softer hand available,
    if that is what you want for your customers.

    Thanks for your feedback;

    Larry

    Re: Cobb Powermax Users

    Larry, the powermax is the product i use everyday, i really love it. but do you really think is necessary to put citrus in there? if somebody wants to use it for traffic line then they can add citrus solv, that by the way another excellent product, but waht about more enzyme and no citrus? or a blend or surfancts.
    one day i mixed 2 ounces of O2 systemn and 4 ounces of powermax, and worked really good, if i had more O2 i would do the same thing.

    Well with one scoop per gallon you won't feel it, but if you do 6 or even 8 hoe they recommend then you will feel it.
