    Fresh Water Tanks

Has anyone installed a fresh water tank like this one http://www.ntotank.com/100gafablpco.html They have all kinds of shapes and sizes. These dont have baffles in them but can be purchase separtely for about 60.00 for a 100 gallon tank. You can purchase the bulk heads and tie downs also. Anyone see any reason something like this wont work?

I used one in my trailer set-up.... No problems even without baffles!

    Re: Fresh Water Tanks

I have that exact tank and so far I am happy with it. Looks like a good price, expect shipping to double the cost. I have noticed that going down the road hitting the expansion joints in a highway in a constant rhythm will create a little harmonic shaking, but nothing bad. So the baffles might be in order. I ordered a non vented lid and had a overflow tube plumbed into the tank so that if I forgot to turn off water while filling it wouldn't flood the inside of the van. One note with that is that it will take a little sealant to completely seal off said lid. My supply reel is live and configured so I can either fill the tank and pull from that or with supply the machine directly. My supply pump is the variable Shurflo and is mounted directly on the tank. The wall thinkness on these tanks is very substantial. Save your money on the mounting straps rachet straps will work fine just make sure you have mounting plates on both sides of eye bolts. I think mine are 3/8" eyebolts. Rob's video of my van would show the tank in pretty good detail.

    Re: Fresh Water Tanks

Seems like you have found me my next tank - THANKS!

Ps. Tractor Farm and Supply & Northern Tools may have these as well. Also Granger is a possible place to find it and look at the shipping cost as will there.

    Re: Fresh Water Tanks

With my last tank I used a flo-jet pump but on my new set-up I just disconnected the incoming water supply on my cat pump and rerouted it to my 100 gallon fresh tank.

did you see the baffle ball they have on that site..
    http://www.ntotank.com/tababa.html
looks like wiffle balls but larger.. the are 15 1/2" and fit in the 16 opening..

the formula for how many balls needed

How many balls do you need? 1000 gallon tank = 100 Baffle Balls.. looks to be one per ten gallons of capacity.
